This is the best getaway place. Scenic views, great food, fantastic drinks and a great serving staff.
We like to sit at the back area at the bar where the windows show a wonderful calming view of the water.
The beers and cocktails are perfect.
The bartenders are all great and provide good service and lively conversation. The local St. George's oysters are delicate and quite tasty.
The chicken wings are cooked just right Light crispy and flavorful.
My husband had the au jus sandwich which full of flavor. Great slices of meat and bread to dip in a great au jus. I don't order this sandwich at places anymore because the flavor and meat is usually lacking. The Ruddy Duck is in point. In the past we've gotten the Argentinian steak which has been fabulous. Yes, I know we are in the water and I adore seafood. However, my non seafood eating husband got that steak and it was delicious. The Ruddy Duck at Piney Point is my venue for a calm relaxing weekend. It incorporates
good food &drink, good people and a beautiful scene for Maryland water lovers.

We came to the Ruddy Duck while in town visiting family so we could have a belated anniversary date.. We had a most incredible experience...our server David was attentive and pleasant without being over bearing...his menu recommendations were on point! The crab dip is stellar...my husband and I got what was on special...he got the crab cake burger with duck fat fries and I got the steak frites...everything was cooked perfectly! The duck fat fries beat out the well known ones from our current home town, and the steak was melt in your mouth...the mushroom peppercorn sauce was to DIE for... I was so thrilled that Chef agreed to sell me a small container of just the sauce to take home. My husband is going to regret that he brought me, because now we are going to have to go back every time we come back to visit family...10 stars out of 5! ❤️

This was the only place around Piney Point and they were busy. Aside from an understandable delay the food and service were good. Great views also.

View from the bar was great. Sat at the bar as there was some confusion with our reservations. The place was absolutely bangin' for a Thursday evening. The food was absolutely awesome, beer and drinks were great, and the bartender was absolutely a legend. Will definitely return next time I am down this way on vacation

Parking: There are spots outside of the entrance on the street . But beside the building seems like it could be difficult at times, especially weekends. Just be prepared as it's on a very tight strip between two bodies of water.

We had to sit outside two people, but they had four people's tables open till the time we left, the sun sucked. Beers wanted were out, but it happened. The waitress forgot to put the last drink order in till very late. I got a drink after eating dinner. Good food, some dishes way overpriced and others well. Disappointment this location, might try another.

There are 2 locations and they hardly resemble each other beyond the menu. The waterfront location has excellent service and atmosphere and delicious crab cakes. The other location had mediocre service and felt like sitting in an outdated mall. The beer is drinkable but not exciting. It's just meh ?.
