Just moved in the area. You would think for the only Chinese place in town they would step it up a notch especially for what they charge. Sorry to say but probably the worst Chinese food I've had.

Having lived in the area for over 25 years, and visited Poolesville on many occasions, I had no idea that this place existed. We came to see Steve and Nicole perform in the bar, but left with a great show, great service and great food.

Our waitress was Lisa, and she was fantastic. Engaging, friendly, professional, and just truly enjoyable to have wait on us.

For dinner, we had the cucumber roll, steamed pork dumplings, the crispy, shredded beef, Szechuan style, and fried chocolate ice cream. I have to say that this steamed pork dumplings were some of the best I’ve ever had, and I ended up ordering a second serving. Our friends who joined us also had the hot and sour soup and thought it was very good.

Steve and Nicole, members of Stringtown band, played and they were fantastic. A great venue to have local bands play.

Looking forward to the next time, I can return, relax, eat great Asian food, and listen to a band.

We love House of Poolesville! It’s a little gem in our small town. Food is fresh, flavorful and super delicious. Their sushi is just amazing.

Moreover the service is so warm and friendly. The lady that’s usually there ( perhaps the owner) is so welcoming and pleasant.

My first time here on 11/4/24 for lunch. I recommend (so far, because I have to go back there is so much on the menu) The Red Curry Chicken, General TSO's Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein and Beef Lo Mein were great! The General TSO's Chicken has a crisp flavorful crunch and then you taste the tender chicken inside - fantastic. Their menu is vast because they make Chinese, Japanese, Thai, others, and American dishes and from what we ate and what I observed many others ordering and eating in and carrying out, they make them all very well. I will return.

The prices have escalated but the food has gone way downhill! Sad because this is the only Chinese restaurant . Pork fried rice was not edible. Dry with old rice, bits and pieces of dried rice and pasty peas. Definitely would not recommend !

The place should be shut down. Report them to the Better Business Bureau. Call the Health Dept. on them.
