This may be the weirdest review ever but here goes. I have never actually eaten here but was stationed at Aberdeen PG in 1970-71. Really enjoyed Maryland for the most part and growing up in Mississippi I was exposed to several dishes that we had never heard of at the time in the Deep South. Submarine sandwiches believe it or not were one. We had Po Boys which were similar but not exactly the same thing. Also grew to love fried clams which no one here at the time ever ate. Of course we had oysters from the gulf and plenty of blue crab but the steamed crab Maryland style was superior to our boiled crab. By the way Marylanders, many of the crabs y'all are now eating come from the gulf not Chesapeake Bay. A friend of mine who is a crabber on Lake Pontchartrain sells all of his #1 crabs for export to Maryland as he makes twice as much than selling the locally . Anyway, I do wish I could make another trip to the area and see what is new the last 50 years. From the looks on yelp, a lot. I am a foodie though and have learned to read between the lines on Yelp reviews and based on that, I would definitely give this place a try. It looks great and I feel sure it is. Bon appetite!

Interesting place. Made dinner reservations for Valentines, but the only available slot was 5:00. That was the first seating, but the place was crowded from the get-go. Not a lot of room to maneuver. Service was decent (although I did have to ask twice about my partner's drink order), but the steaks we ordered (Black n' Blue and Crown Filet) were outstanding! Place pretty much cleared out around 7:00. Despite the few quirks, we definitely plan to go back.

Perfect Dinner. Chef Bob's Pepper-Crusted Filet with Gran Marnier Demi is the reason I chose Backfin Blues for my birthday dinner. Plus they make the PERFECT Martini - Tanqueray 10 EXTRA EXTRA DRY (don't even put it next to a bottle of vermouth) with a twist. Started with Caesar Salad. Finished with Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake and a cup of black coffee. And the spring peepers along Rt. 222 (we drive up to Rt. 1 to cross the dam) sang "Happy Birthday" to me on the way home!

First timers for brunch. Maura behind the bar took great care of our party of 4. Cool laid back atmosphere. The food we all had was sooo good. Filet was perfectly cooked. We hadn't even finished our meals and were already talking about our next time?

I love everything about Back Fin in Port.. It starts with great management, and Ashley is special. Atmosphere is quaint and cozy- simple decorations. ? Every menu item is picture worthy and mouth watering. I held a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner here before Christmas-- everyone was thrilled. Highly recommend.

The food was not stellar but it was above average. Our server was very friendly, funny, attentive. We had a round table at the front of the restaurant, so we were able to watch the people passing by. If you have mobility issues, there is a very high step to get in and out of the front door. We watched one woman being lifted up to get in with her cane and I had a hard time getting down when I left. We had a 90 year old birthday gal with us and she had to be helped down by two people.

This restaurant hosted my family’s event for 22 of us. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the service was top notch, especially Ashley the manager! She has wonderful communication and made everything so easy for us. But most importantly the food was AMAZING! From the drinks, to the appetizers, to the main courses. It’s really hard to find great food after Covid and this place truly is delicious! Out of 22 of us we probably tried most of the menu and every single person LOVED their meal. Thank you again for a wonderful dinner!
