My son and I were visiting DC and always looking for a good burger. The burgers were outstanding. One of the best I have ever had.
“How long is the wait for a table?” “Right now we’re not seating tables of one, so you’ll just have to wait until a seat becomes available at the bar.” Seriously, Dukes?

Duke's Grocery is a destination for a quick bite. It is known for its "Proper Burger," which has been voted the best in the DMV. Many find it extremely delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that are well thought out. Others feel the burger and the fish and chips are just ok and could use better seasoning. The crispy fries, however, are consistently great with a nice crunch. For dessert, the sticky toffee bread pudding is a hit, being savory and not overly sweet. The service is excellent and friendly, providing a wonderful dining experience.
