Food wise we order the mussels, grilled oysters and trout. The mussels was a disappointment. It used be so good and flavorful from the sauce to where u want to just drink it all up. Today it wasn’t same. All other food was good.

Atmosphere is filled with flies. Constantly whipping back forth to get rid of them. Need some thing to get rid of the pestering flies.

Service is 5. Pleasant and courteous.

This is not our first time. But it will be our last time. Hopefully they will improve or go back to good remember full days.

Fast service, we went there for oysters and ended up ordering 2 dozen.

If I'm going to drop $200 on a meal, don't sit me next to an infant.

My go to spot back home

It was a mistake from the moment we walked in - from the food, the service and the bugs on the wall.

My family and I walked in, no one said a word to us. The bar tender made eye contact and went about her business. After 10 minutes someone finally came to tell us to wait. (The only reason I stayed was for my son who really wanted to eat there.)

I ordered the scallops - I am not joking, I got a pile or boxed risotto with 3 scallops for over $30. And it was horrible.

The service was awful. The food was awful. The people are not kind or welcoming. I do not recommend and would never go back. Almost $300 for 4 adults and a child. I feel financially taken advantage of. Go elsewhere. I wish I did.

Came in the first night I moved to the neighborhood and checked out the place. Sat at the bar and was welcomed by the bartender, Megan. She made me the best old fashioned I’ve had in a long time, walked through the oyster selection, and gave me and others fantastic service. Definitely will be back with a bartender line that.

The crab soup is special. We make a trip here just for that. The employees are long-termers and remember regulars. That means a lot.

I had the most delicious lunch. The oysters on the half were fresh. The crab dip and calamari salad were outstanding. Get the lemon drop lavender martini. The bartender and our server were super friendly and helpful. We had a great time.

It was my 79th birthday so we wanted a special place to celebrate. Our nephew is a young producer and knows good places. He recommended The Grilled Oyster Company in thr Kentlands. We found it located at the correct of a small street across the traffic circle from Whole Foods. The entrance ? charming, encouraging you to imagine the good experience you are about to have. Inside it is small and cozy, but not crowded, except for the bar area which is full of people in a happy social event. Opened door we were greeted by 4 smiling faces and welcomed. Entering the dining area we found it to be cozy, with art on the walls. We were seated at a table for 4 next to the window where we could watch the rain from trophy storm Debby. I started with a bloody Mary which was quite good and ordered a dozen oysters. My wife had the Maryland burger. Our friends had the Angus burger and the salmon. All dishes were excellent. We ordered 2 creme brules for dessert when were also above par. There are 2 unique features of this place, one good and the other questionable: 1. They do not have a freezer. This means everything is fresh and you not be served warmed frozen food. 2. They do not serve hot tea which would go well with seafood. I wonder what would have if the customers brought their own tea bags and asked for hot water.

Over all, however, I have to give them 5 stars for excellent service, food, and ambience!

Favorite restaurant in the Kentlands! The creamy lobster pasta is soooooooo good! The seasonal cocktails are always fun and delicious and we always get great service.

I really really wanted to like this place but it was so terrible I can’t and I have to do this. Where do I start.

We came here on a whim, we originally had plans to go to Kenaki, which is never a fail, but my BF drove from Frederick post neck surgery to meet us and we had to settle(I wish we didn’t).

To start I’m pretty sure our server was drunk, and it progressively showed as the night went on. We all got drinks, minus the pregnant women we had so we waited 10 mins for drinks to not let her feel left out. Of course nothing on tap just canned beer. Then drunk server guy, recommended some grilled oysters, we should have never listened to him, they were God awful, as well as the Raws…TERRIBLE…the worst.

Avoid oysters here, unless you want to be sick.

Then entres come and I don’t think I have enough space here to explain the mess we got served. 300+ down the drain for terrible food, atmosphere, and attention. Our server was drunk and almost un-understandable when we left.

Avoid this place at all cost, especially with a group of 4 or more. I was expecting sooooo much more from this place, I have been passing it wondering if it was good but negative. It’s a locals drunk bar, hence where the good reviews some from

Amazing i must say. The service was fast the food was hot and fresh. The place is perfect space and great seafood options. Definitely wouñd recommend to seafood lovers
