The Grove Reviews
The Grove in Potomac is truly a gem. What they’ve done with the space is incredible, it’s warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. My go-to dishes are the chopped salad and the honey walnut salad—both are fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent, proving that simple dishes done well can really shine.
Add in the live music on Thursday nights, and The Grove becomes more than just dinner—it’s an experience....read full review
We had a fantastic date night at The Grove. The oxtail should not be missed and is hardy enough to be a meal. I also wouldn’t skip the crystal bread. We will be back!
Small portions but delicious food, well presented… The crystal bread was to die for!

The Grove offers a beautiful ambiance with great service, filled with flowers and featuring clean decor. The entire restaurant is very pretty and roomy, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food and cocktails received a 4/5 rating, with many diners finding the food tasty. Some menu items may have small portions, but dishes like the veal cheeks appetizer were enjoyable, while the lobster ravioli was just okay. Desserts like tiramisu and Basque/Spanish-style cheesecake are also available.
Brunch options include the delicious French toast and duck confit. However, some brunch items like the "pigs in a blanket" style appetizer and cheese grits have been criticized for being poorly prepared and lacking flavor. The La Reina gin drink remains a group favorite, while the Old Fashioned with duck fat is noted for its flavor.
Diners have mentioned the new fall menu, with items like the branzino and filet receiving positive feedback for their cooking. The Wednesday prime rib deal is a highlight, although some diners noted it could benefit from more flavor or sides to accompany it. The real reuben sandwich was tasty, featuring flavorful pastrami and well-balanced ingredients.
The service varies, with some praising the efficiency of the staff and others noting that there were times when servers were less available. Many customers have highlighted the friendliness of staff members, such as Saku, who provided superb service. Overall, The Grove comes highly recommended for a delightful dining experience, with suggestions for improvements in flavor and preparation to enhance the overall quality.
