We've dined at The Roost since I was a young child. Generally, we've always been very pleased. However, a party of 9 adults visited recently. There were several open tables, yet our fried foods that accompany the AYCE was way overcooked. Crabs were very small, which is expected with the crab population right now. Went tonight for opening night and the crabs weren't too big but they were good. Our son ordered chicken tenders and for $12 he got four about the size of nuggets instead of tenders. The waitress was really slow. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes after we were seated to get waited on and that was just the beginning. After getting our drink and food order it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks and then they weren't even right. She was bringing us 5-6 crabs at a time for two...read full review
Have had a lot of people have asked my opinion between Th Red Roost and The old mill. My opinion is the roost has a much better atmosphere . More like family dining. I have been there every weekend (except for 2) this year and 44 times last year. I have never had a bad meal or service from this establishment .
