The food : superb, the environment : relaxing. Afterward, I spent time outside with some recommended activity, a sunny day - gentle breezes and a sparkling view. “We came to the Ruddy Duck while in town visiting family so we could have a belated anniversary date.. We had a most incredible experience...our server David was attentive and pleasant without being over bearing...his menu recommendations were on point! The crab dip is stellar...my husband and I got what was on special...he got the crab cake burger with duck fat fries and I got the steak frites...everything was cooked perfectly! The duck fat fries beat out the well known ones from our current home town, and the steak was melt in your mouth...the mushroom peppercorn sauce was to DIE for... I was so thrilled that Chef agreed to sell me a small container of just the sauce to take home. My husband is going to regret that he brought me, because now we are going to have to go back every time we come back to visit family...10 stars out of 5! ❤️”

“Walked into Uncle D's and was greeted with the savory smell of bbq. The menu is displayed on a chalkboard, and there are more options on a dry-erase board. You know you are getting something good, and now you have to decide how hungry you are.

Ordered some seafood, brisket, and the "301" combo, which is wings, sausage, and ribs with a side of fries, baked beans, and collard greens.

I was not prepared for how delicious and juicy the brisket was. I lost my composure and got lost in the feeling of being at a family bbq. The ribs were just as savory, with the right amount of seasoning and pictures don't do it justice. The wings were the best I've had in a long time and didn't need any sauce. I also ordered the fish and shrimp for later but sampled them at home. Both the fish and shrimp are seasoned just right and fried perfectly. The sides are just as good as the rest, but I enjoyed the collards best. There are peach or apple cobblers, but I did not order them this time, as I had plenty of food for lunch and dinner.

Based on this first order, I will be going back here more often for the wonderful food and decent price.

If you love bbq and haven't tried Uncle D's, I highly recommend you give it a try. They also have catering options for those who need to feed a family or have a party.”
