About Al Carbon Restaurant

Al Carbon Restaurant is a cozy spot for Mexican food, known for its tasty dishes and friendly service. It offers a lively atmosphere, particularly when hosting large parties, making it a fun place for celebrations. The Big Platter for Two People remains a popular choice, featuring grilled steak, chicken, sausage, shrimp, rice, beans, salad, and tortillas, often enough for four people. Guests have noted that the food is good, with specific praise for dishes like steak tacos, while the rice is described as traditional Tex-Mex. Although parking may be limited at times, the authentic guacamole and the attentive staff make it worth the visit. Communication can be challenging due to language barriers, but servers work hard to accommodate. While ambient noise can be high during busy celebrations, the overall experience is enjoyable. Al Carbon Restaurant continues to be a go-to for those seeking delicious wood-grilled Latin cuisine in the Gaithersburg area.

Food was great. Most of this is probably my fault as I don't speak Spanish, but I had trouble ordering as no one seemed to speak English, and had trouble towards the end. I thought I was getting just the mixed fajita with steaks and chicken for 18.95 but my total ended being around 25 for that and shrimp with it. Would recommend either online ordering or making sure you are with someone who speaks Spanish, as otherwise it's a difficult place to eat
