Black Lion is a gem for anyone who takes their coffee seriously. The shop roaster sits right out front, and you can tell they're roasting on site in small batches. You can buy bags of single-origin, ethically sourced beans that were roasted only days ago,\r which is a huge plus if you brew espresso at home. There's something special about a local cafe that puts that level of care into their product instead of just reselling commercial beans. Beyond the coffee, the staff...
This is by far the best coffee place around. I got the chai latte and the wife got a latte with almond milk. You can definitely taste the work that they have done to the beans. I shall return.
I used to be a barista for a while, and I feel that Black Lion has some of the absolute best coffee I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s really stellar. The staff are great, the interior is lovely, and every experience I have there is fabulous.
