Despite its name, the owners are Vietnamese and i think they bring an extra lift to the food. It was heartening to see the staff come together to help peel a heap of potatoes when the tables were not busy. Try their wok charred green beans, crispy tofu and scallion pancakes in addition to their signature soup dumplings. The beef tendon is good but it is laced with Szechuan peppercorns that has a paralyzing effect
A long-established restaurant serving authentic Xiaolongbao, the quality of the food rivals that of China.

Tastes bad, from a Chinese person
I think the chicken needs more seasoning. It was literal cardboard. Everything tasted like they forgot to add salt. Please add some seasoning. Everything lacks flavor. Even something as simple as cucumber salad had more flavor than most entrees. There may be a lot of people here, but don’t let that fool you. If you want to have a taste of British food disguised as Chinese food, you’re welcome to try this place.

Place is a little overrated in my opinion. The XLB were decent…the spicy ones tasted better than the original ones. The skin is a little thicker than what I would prefer. We also order pan fried steam buns and the meat to bun ratio wasn’t very good. I could hardly taste the filling because the bun was so thick.
Lastly, we were also disappointed about the wonton noodle soup. The chicken wontons were flavorful but the noodles were unexpected. Wontons are traditionally served with wonton noodles (thin egg noodles) but they served theirs with regular flour noodles, making them bland.

The dishes offered are super flavorful, well seasoned and the service is fast. I did notice a price increased since 2021 and smaller portions than usual.

Amazing food. We had pork wonton, chicken soup dumpling, snow pea leaves, cumin lamb, Cheng-du chicken (very very spicy), eggplant (cold). All of them were amazing. Very flavourful and delicious. Price was reasonable and portions were big. I will come back again. Really impressive.
Update: I think the quality getting better and better here. I enjoy more every time I visit here. New items are also sooo delicious. Try cumin duck and spicy soup dumplings...

Very underwhelmed. I heard great things about this restaurant but We did not experience any of it. Food was very bland. Wait staff never came over to see if we needed anything or to refill our drinks.

The food was great, the service could have been better, and unfortunately, I saw one one of the waiters sneeze into their glove and didn't bother changing it🤢

The food is delicious. Staff is professional and attentive. It’s in a small strip which is not fancy. Clean restaurant and great food!
For three grown adults, we spent less than $115 and that's saying something in this economy. Everything is delicious, but be aware that this is a place for people with a spice tolerance, and if you're used to your food being not spicy at all, you probably will want to stick with cold dishes only. Otherwise, this place is delicious and the service is very fast even during busy times. It's a pretty barebones dining room, nothing fancy or overly decorated. The place really emphasizes their food above all else.
Also offers a frozen bulk order menu for those who want to have some of their staples, such as their dumplings, for their home freezer.
