“This Chinese takeout joint has been in the neighborhood since 1996-1997. It’s awesome because everybody seems to know everybody, the Chinese owners speak fluent Spanish, and on the menu there are more Latin American foods than Chinese food. All good!“
“Great little spot inside the office building. They were very accommodating to my husband's low salt diet. The bulgolgi was fantastic and the chicken salad and unsalted fries that my husband had were both delicious, even without salt. Whenever I'm this way again, I have a new place to stop into.

“Fantastic breakfast sandwiches in the area. Bagels are soft and seasoned well. You get a generous portion of bacon/sausage, egg and cheese. It's definitely worth the money. They have a lot of seating available if you eat there and there staff is very nice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!“

It’s a Colombian-Italian takeout spot that offers great pizza, and they also have a great little market where you can buy frozen lasagna, ravioli, and even the ingredients to make pizza at home (all made by them). “Jean’s Deli is the kind of place I’d frequent almost daily if I worked in the area. For its modest size, the restaurant boasts an extensive menu of hearty fare (hot/cold sandwiches, burgers, breakfast items), as well as fresh salads, a fruit bar, and other lighter options. Everything we’ve tried is seasoned just right with generous portions, and the produce they use is unfailingly fresh. The deli’s been run by the same owners for the past 35 years, a couple with the kindest demeanor who put meticulous care into everything they make and serve. “Over the past four years, I was a regular at Rock Cafe while working near by - going three to four times a week when working there. Across four years, this adds up to well over one hundred orders. Here is my thorough review on everything!
Service - a lot of us regulars would refer to the Cafe as 'Frank's', after the owner who is there with his team every day. Frank is a great man, who I have had the pleasure of getting to know very well. I would often times go over and he would immediately know my orders depending on the day of the week. Despite being a lean team they are fast and efficient, and if they do forget something are quick to fix it apologetically. During the school year they have dozens of students come between the hours of 11:15 and 11:45, but even then you'll get you food fast enough.
Ambiance - while a simple interior, there is still places to sit both inside and outside. I typically take the food back to my office space, but on a nice day there are worst corporate parks to sit at.
Food - as past reviewers have stated, there are lots of different specials depending on the day of the week. My go-to favorites are the following:
- Chana Masala on Mondays - an appropriate level of spice with tons of flavor. Comes with rice, naan and raita.
- Italian Coldcut on Tuesdays, which come with a side of chips. In general, I his sandwiches were my go-to when I couldn't make a decision
- Chicken Burrito Bowls on Wednesday - a much better value than places nearby and always filled me up. Probably my personal favorite. I would typically add hot sauce too.
- Butter Chicken w/ Naan and Rice on Thursdays - similar to the Chana in that it was very flavorful with a touch of spice, but nothing that should deter away those that aren't completely averse to it. Super popular - they typically sell out before one.
- For breakfast, his sandwiches are the best deal in the area! Fresh bagels and egg with your choice of meat and cheese. Highly, highly recommend!
In general, I also liked the paninis and his chicken quesadilla. I would occasionally get salads, although these were typically my least preferred option.
Overall - for great service and good food at some of the best prices in Montgomery County, you can't go wrong with Rock Cafe! I know they'll also take larger orders if you call ahead of time, so great for work/team events too.

“im from further up north and shops like these take the form of standalone delis. i was disappointed bc i couldn't find a cheap BEC anywhere. but i learned that those places can be found in the ground floor of hospitals and offices. and they are amazing.

“Walking in I was greeted right away. I was asked if I was going to dine in or takeout. I said dine in and was handed a menu and was told I can pick any seat.
The waitress came over and took my order. Breakfast Burrito, Blueberry Pancakes and Coffee! She asked what I wanted with the Pancakes. She mention potatoes, tomato’s. I opt’ed for the tomatoes since it was already going to be a good amount of food. I did ask if I could get a spicy mayo with the burrito. Sadly she said no. It comes with a salsa.
Coffee was good hot and fresh. Food came out. Everything was hot and yummy. The burrito had a classic omelette flavor. The salsa didn’t really add much to it. Sour cream was also served with it. I doubt I would get it again. I would just get a omelette. The pancakes were loaded with blueberries. Phenomenal!
Service was great! The waitress refilled my coffee 3 times. The aesthetics, it feels like the deli could use an update. You can tell it’s an older place. Still clean and all the plates, silverware, glasses were clean. Some people might be put off by how the deli looks inside.
Overall very good experience!
Parking: Plenty of free parking
Kid-friendliness: Lots of room for a family and booths as well.
Wheelchair accessibility: Entry way is a little tricky but plenty of room and chairs and tables can be moved.“

“Brooklyn Deli is a hidden gem with great food. Known for its delicious breakfasts, they also have outstanding sandwiches and soups. The Galkin turkey sandwich is my favorite. Matzoh ball soup is always available and delicious. The staff is very nice.“

“I have ordered eggplant parmesan dishes for decades, all over the country. I had never had it in a sandwich before today when I popped into Santucci's, an institution in Four Corners. The eggplant parmesan sandwich was the best thing I have eaten in quite some time! I wanted to compliment the chef and was delighted to learn that he was one of the new owners, who has plans for updating the restaurant, while keeping the loyal customers satisfied. Micah Charles, from Trinidad, is incredibly talented! He mentioned that he had freshly breaded my eggplant dish and it was mouthwateringly excellent! I look forward to big things from this Montgomery County institution that is under new leadership from a fresh generation of talented culinary artists! My companion was pleased with his tried-and-true Italian cold cut sub (the restaurant's most popular offering), which he has ordered there for many years. I love buying the Italian grocery items (including frozen fresh pasta) to have on hand for home cooked meals, as well. Bravo, Micah! This could emerge as a real-life Montgomery County, Maryland version of Hulu's "The Bear" television show. It sure shows promise!“
