Today, I visited their place for the first time and ordered some barbecue from the restaurant. This is a fairly standard Chinese barbecue, where the grilled food is sprinkled with chili, cumin, and sesame. My favorites are the grilled lamb skewers and the fermented rice and egg milk.

It is said that the skewers are all fried, without exception, and none of them are grilled. Don't order the ribs, the fishy smell is so strong that you will vomit. It costs more than 100 for two people. I’m really wronged. It takes an hour to drive there and back.

I enjoyed eating here! They have a lot of options which were a little intimidating at first, but the food turned out great. The menu has both Chinese and English so it was easy to order. The server was really friendly and gave some recommendations.I recommend the skewers and accompany that with a couple of dishes depending on the size of your party. The dishes had a lot of flavor. The skewers were all nicely cooked and seasoned. The portions were on the larger side, which is nice so you can take home the leftovers.

The first time we ate, the waiter looked down upon us because we were too poor. When ordering, we first discussed with the waiter whether we could get an extra bowl of rice if we ordered grilled fish. He didn't say no, so we just assumed it was OK. However, after the food was served, he said he denied that rice would be given, so I said we should order it. After paying so many things, I wanted to give him another bowl. He directly said in a very contemptuous tone that the things we ordered for more than 80 knives were less than 100 knives. Although the rice at $1.50 is not expensive, we ended up paying extra for a bowl, but the second time the big brother served the rice, he almost threw the bowl on our table, and his tone made us feel that we, poor international students, were not worthy. Eat this restaurant haha.Let’s talk about their grilled fish with pickled vegetables. The amount of fish is quite large, but it’s not tasty at all, and the soup base is neither sour nor spicy. The side dish costs only five or six pieces of beef for a portion of $56. .My previous good impression of this store because of its dry pot Malatang was completely lost this time. Goodbye.

All the staff were generous and welcoming. We visited here twice while road-tripping to DC; the Mala Pot was the best. A pot is good for two people; they are tasty and the portion is great. Of course, other items on the menu were also delicious. A must visit place if you are craving for good Chinese food!

Never order from this restaurant online!Extremely bad packaging though the taste is good. They don't use proper upright bag. The aluminum tray is too shallow. We ordered Mala Pot from Uber Eats and the drive carry the package like a normal bag and all the oil spilled out and nothing left. We ordered 4/5 times and same thing always happend. When I visited the restaurant personally, I complaint about this thing but they didn't take any action and nothing has changed in their packaging. Very disappointing. Never order from this restaurant online!

I ordered duck blood vermicelli, brain flakes and spicy hotpot, and roasted pig's trotters. Only the duck blood vermicelli was a bit bland, and the spicy and sesame paste bone soup was delicious. The roasted pig's trotters are also particularly soft. The brains are also delicious. There are many brains in one portion, and one portion of the brains + rice can be a complete lunch. The price is not expensive overall. Good value for money.
