Have never dined in before here but am a regular take out customer and can confidently say that this is excellent sushi for the price, you can't beat it. The quality of the sushi is great and the fried veggie dumplings are awesome. If you ever want some take out sushi and don't want the ridiculous prices that other sushi places offer this is 100% the way to go. Would strongly recommend.

This is a no-frills neighborhood sushi spot that my family has been ordering take out from for years. The employees are warm and friendly, the cuts of fish are generous, and the lunch special can’t be beat for the quality. If you’re looking for delicious sushi, this is the place to go.

We love sushi house! This is our number 1 pick for take out sushi and we eat a lot of sushi. They have very high quality sushi at a great price. The people who work there are so nice.

This is the best bang-for-buck sushi place in the entire DMV. The sushi always comes out tasting fresh and the customer service is excellent.

My coworker has been going to Sushi House a few times a week for the last 6 months. Yesterday I decided to go with her for the first time and am glad that I did. Having grown up in Japan, I know good sushi and this is it. The value for money spent is great, and the sushi tastes amazing. I always get the shrimp tempura as the first thing to try at a sushi restaurant to try to see if anything else is worth having, and I can't wait to move on to their nigiri next visit! Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu!

We carried out food several times, and pretty fresh food, and the front desk person was very friendly and helpful.

The sushi house was fairly disappointing. The quality of the food was sub-par and it came to the table in take out containers. The California roll was decent but any roll with raw fish was practically inedible. We were also not provided with any water which was disappointing to say the least. The service was good but did not make up for the sub quality food. Overall, I would not recommend this, even as a budget option as there are plenty of other budget sushi restaurants in the area.

The staff were friendly and really great. The sushi was ok. Everything was served in to-go containers, down to the ramekin for soy sauce. The only drinks available were bottled, so no glass of water. If you are environmentally minded, this is a painful place to eat. Eating out of to-go containers also takes away from the dine-in experience. I won't return, as there are so many other options in the area.

I was the only one dining in here at dinner time on a Saturday. It looks like most of their business is takeout. The rolls are fairly cheap (~$5 each) and were ok. I was never offered water, but I probably should have asked for some. I will probably order takeout from them again.

I ate at the restaurant and order udon, but instead of a regular dish bowl, they gave me a paper bowl and plastic spoon and had me pour my udon in portions myself.
I ordered Tamago and the lady taking the order kept repeating with an annoyed emphasis the work "tamago" with what I guess was meant to demonstrate proper pronunciation and just stared at me when I tried to repeat the word to learn from her.
They were nice as I was taking my food to go. However, I had to call back later after gettinf sick from eating the shrimp tempura that weren't cleaned properly and still have the black vein in each shrimp. I got attitude and told not to come back because it was the first time anyone complained about this and she refused to check with the chef and kept defending that they DID clean the shrimp. When I responded that I have the shrimp still and am looking at the veins, she just repeatedly told me "thank you but don't come back" and that she would refund me only because she doesn't want to see me again. But I was so nice and patient both in person and on the phone yet she kept interrupting me and insulted me.
Never ever going back here again and do NOT recommend.

The Sushi Gods answered my prayers! I was looking for a high-quality sushi spot for take out given my preference for exciting specialty rolls, and Sushi House hit the nail on the head. The restaurant is tucked away in one of the plethora of Rockville Pike shopping centers. Upon entering, it looks as though takeout is the only current option, so I would not recommend it for a romantic dinner date. I ordered 3 specialty rolls, and all were extremely fresh and had 5/5 flavor. The Fire Phoenix Roll had the perfect distribution of spice from the spicy tuna and spicy salmon and savory from the tempura shrimp. The crunchy spicy scallops set off the Inner Harbor Roll. Last but not least, the Kent Island Roll, my personal favorite, was elevated by the addition of old bay to the spicy crab meat; 11/10 on the deliciousness scale. If you like creative, flavorful sushi, you have to give this spot a try.
