My daughter introduced me to this place and we love it! Their egg drop soup is my favorite in the area. I love that it’s a little hidden gem, and I love Flora who remembers us every time we come in. She is sweet and always looks out for me! It’s the best hidden gem in the Rockville/North Bethesda area.
Taipei Tokyo is one of our favorite spots for Asian food in the North Bethesda/Rockville area. Mom and I go there often.
The restaurant has a warm, welcoming feel. It’s casual enough for an easy weeknight dinner but still nice enough for a special night out. The menu offers a mix of Japanese and Taiwanese/Chinese dishes, and everything always tastes fresh. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable for the area, and takeout orders are always packed carefully and correctly.

I am writing to formally report a serious incident that occurred at your restaurant on Feb 28 2026 at approximately 4.30 pm.
During my visit, I ordered sushi, and while eating, I unexpectedly bit into hard pieces of stone that were inside the food. As a result, I broke my tooth. This was extremely painful and shocking, and it required immediate dental evaluation.
