This place was quite good but by the time we got here (around 7 on a Friday night) the staff was scrambling because they were out of a lot of things. We opted to sit inside and basically heard the entire commotion between the waitstaff and the cooks. Ultimately, the owner came by and helped to settle things down but our poor waitress was clearly overwhelmed and looked like she needed a hug. This is a Baja California-themed restaurant from what I gathered. So the flavors aren't going to be typical Tex-Mex, which is what I think some of the negative reviewers were expecting. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mama's enchiladas with carne asada. The rice and beans were delicious. Re prices, every place is expensive these days, unfortunately. And this is a resort town.
I don't mind paying good money for good food and drinks, but you better deliver. $19 dollar frozen strawberry margaritas tasted like it was a strawberry mix of mostly sugar and maybe no alcohol? If it's going to taste bad, at least put some alcohol in it. Chimichangas were mediocre. Waitress finally brought sour cream after we were finished food. A bit disappointed.
