This was my first time visiting on a Saturday morning, and it was incredibly busy. The staff let us know that seating might take a while, but the wait was much shorter than expected. Everyone was so friendly and apologetic, which made the experience even better.
Our server, Skylar, was wonderful! She was professional, kind, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She kept our coffee cups full and checked in regularly. I ordered The Carpenter and the Walrus and it was absolutely delicious! My sister tried the Jabberwocky Breakfast Burrito—it was good, but not great, so not her favorite, and there are definitely other menu items I’d recommend first.
The Mad Hatter Cafe is such a cute restaurant with a cool atmosphere, welcoming staff, and plenty of great food options.

We waited an hour for our food, server only came over 3 times, prices are a bit high for what you get. Overall we were not impressed for what the reviews claimed vs our experience. Wouldn't go back, wouldn't recommend either.

Called in my order was told it would be ready in 10 minutes I get there and sat for 25 minutes ended up leaving because the service was terrible!
The food was okay. The service was terrible...at least our server.

I've been here twice. Big fan of the Duchess pancakes (and I don't even have a sweet tooth) and I also enjoyed an espresso martini and an Eastern Shore Skillet. I love the niche aesthetic. Very inclusive and welcoming to all.

The concepts on the menu looked really fun- but the execution just wasn't there. The Crab dip cannoli was cold in the middle, the jalapeño cream cheese on the cinnabun burger is sour, the fries were still hard potatoes and the candied bacon was either raw or burnt. It was honestly some of the worst food I've ever had after it taking almost an hour to come out. Its such a same because the ideas on the menu seem awesome I was really hoping this would be a new favorite it just fell very very flat.

I had a nice experience at the Mad Hatter Cafe. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming—definitely a cool place to relax and enjoy a meal. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.
I ordered the chicken and waffles, and they were really good—crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My daughter had the shrimp and grits, Not bad.
Overall, it's a great spot with solid service and a fun vibe. I’d go back again to try some other menu items.
