Peter's Tavern is a great place to get out of the heat and grab a beer, cocktail, or soft drink.... whether you're from the area, or just passing through, you'll feel welcomed and you'll enjoy your visit.

Since Stephanie started working there...we WILL start coming back again AND I'm "upping" this rating to FIVE stars! ?????We stopped frequenting for about 3 years because the bartending staff was pretty glum and unwelcoming.Yay, Ms. Stephanie for bringing the uppity AND chill vibes back into Pete's! ??

Finding the right words to describe Pete's Tavern may be close to impossible. We have been twice and each time was an exciting experience. We are from NJ but visit Shepardstown a couple times a year. We stopped in the first time because a corner bar right outside the WV border has our name written all over it. We went a second time because it was so gosh darn fun the first time. The crowd is local and everyone knows each other. The food is typical bar food but taste anything...
