Some of the best Ethiopian food I've had! The owner is so sweet and took such great care of us. Highly recommend the samosas, lamb, veggie combo with injera. Finish the meal off with traditional Ethiopian coffee you'll be so happy and satisfied. 10/10 would recommend. I'll be coming back the next time I'm in the DC/Silver Spring area!

I tried the 6 part veggie combo, which had good flavor and variety. Some dishes were spicy but very approachable for someone reserved about spice. The coffee was a very special experience, served beautifully with a specific pitcher and style of cup. I absolutely love this restaurant!! I chose this restaurant to try Ethiopian cuisine as a VEGAN for the first time and the cooks did not disappoint!! The food was super tasty and delectable!! The manager is very kind and her service was very efficient. One suggestion I would make is to frequently wipe tables down; there was a dead bug on my table the last time I visited which was a bit of a turnoff, but I put it out of my mind because the food is immaculate!!Oh, & the injera is PERFECT!! Oh man this place is a gem. Down home spot super chill. Food is delicious. Get the traditional coffee such a cool vibe comes with burning incense I think it's myrrh or frankincense. Owner was so warm and inviting. Love.

Food was delicious. Sometimes Ethiopian food can be too heavy but in this restaurant it was not. The owner was who served us and she was super sweet and friendly. Good portions. We had not only a great meal but a great time. I will definitively come back.Parking: You can park in front, but also in the back. There is a narrow alley from the back parking lot to the restaurant entrance.

I now know why people I know were saying this place is so good. The food is outstanding. It is now among my favorite Ethiopian restaurants among such a large number in silver spring. I had the vegetarian combo with 4 dishes. Super fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked and spiced, and beautiful presented on a very large plate. The woman waiting on me couldn't be friendlier. I also spent some time just hanging out absorbing the sweet Ethiopian music and vibes and did some work on my computer using the wifi.

First time experiencing Ethiopian food, and I am so glad I did it at Elilta. My friends and I asked the owner/chef to give us whatever she recommends and we were blown away. She also offers gluten free injera for those that have intolerances. Definitely will be coming back here!

I came here on a late Saturday afternoon, not really having a good day. But I'm going home with a full belly, a happy smile and a lot of hope. The food is delicious and so is the coffee. It's just as simple as that. But the best of all - the owner here is such an amazing person. The folks here make everything with love and care (which you can definitely taste). And the energy and joy here is contagious.Try some food here.
