I never do reviews but I had to come here to share. As someone who LOVES Indian food, this is false advertisement. I order shrimp biryani and got rice that was barely seasoned. You could tell someone dumped plain white rice in a mix of salt and brown food coloring and then added a teaspoon of almond slices and 2-3 raisins. It wasn’t mix right and you could see white chunks of rice in a few spots. No depth to the flavor and barely any flavor at all. Where is the cumin? Where is the savory and sweet spice blend? This very disappointing and needs to be taken off your menu.
The lamb vindaloo this evening was SOUR. Not sure if the food was spoiled or they added too much acid (lime or vinegar), but it is not appetizing at all. It’s honestly a travesty that they would serve this for $20+.
The food was absolutely horrible. The parathas were not made of atta but some other flour and were atrocious. The samosas were stale and had been fried again to make them seem fresh. The parathas, samosas and chana masala were absolutely tasteless. Total waste of money. Would caution everyone against going to this place. Only silver lining was the prompt service for the takeout.
Love the food. But Ethiopian ppl are not LGBT, friendly.
Food was delicious! Ordered the Awaze Tibs and Mango Lassy. The Injera bread was phenomenal. I messaged them before ordering about their entrees and got an immediate response! Very good service. I'm from out of town or I would eat here all the time! Highly recommend!!!
AVOIDING WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER OPTION
3 worst mistake I did
a) Missed to see the previous reviews are 5 years old
b) Skipped Chipotle
c) Ordered for To-Go but decided to Dine-in
I left with a bad Experience
Chicken Biryani was not biryani but Masala rice Pilav... NOT WORTH $20
I mistook a Bar as restaurant and decided to Dine in
The Bar is attached to the Dine in hall.. No customers shows up for Dine in may be bcoz of the Headache you get from the LOUD MUSIC PLAYED IN THE BAR.. UNRECOGNISABLE LANGUAGE SONG IS PLAYED ON HIGH VOLUME.. Customers in the Bar consume Alcohol and Hukka (sheesha) Arabic smoke pipe.....
The entire place gives you a Headache from smoke smell and loud Music in some different language but not English.....
Ghar- E - Kabab the name of the restaurant means Home made kabab ( mince patty) but this restaurant is no where near to its Name.
The Chicken Biryani was the waste of Money and Time Since, I drove all the way from Laurel and returned with a Bad Taste anf Bad Experience.
NOT RECOMENDED👎👎👎👎👎👎
Really delicious and fresh Indian food. The vegetable korma had the most pleasant flavor complex. It tasted like coming home to a place I’d never been. The naan was the best I’d ever had, it was soft and fluffy yet satisfyingly crispy where it counted. My friend and I came for a quiet lunch, but I would like to come back for happy hour and enjoy the place when lively. Thank you again ! :) I would share photos but was too busy eating 🤷🏾♀️
Dive bar disguised as a restaurant.
They have the audacity to add service charge worth 20% of the bill and ask you for a tip at the end.
The curry tasted like bolognese sauce.
Avoid if you can help it. Not worth it for the money, let alone the tips

Terrible food. Chicken tikka masala tasted like canned tomato soup, chicken was tough and dry. You pay 20 dollars for two small bowls of curry and rice. The Ghar-E Kebab platter was insanely expensive (35 dollars) for a small plate of tough, dry meat and a small cup of chana masala.

too expensive for the amount of food you receive. food tastes great; there just isn't much of it. I feel ripped off.

Ok, I’ll admit, actually finding this spot was a bit of a challenge however once we did, the food was GOOD! Tandoori chicken, spicy wings, wonderful blend of flavors and seasonings. Give it a view if you’re in the area!
