The staff was very friendly. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. They have an assortment of baked goods and other food. I had the overnight oats, which were pretty good. I also had a coffee, but I didn't love the flavour. I think it might be a matter of taste. I think this place is worth a try!

Came at 8:25 on Sunday morning...got the breakfast panini, best I've ever had....we were given enough time to place our order, coffee on point...talked to the owner, very sweet woman...told her how great it was ...come here for breakfast, you won't regret it...

Lemon Slice Cafe is one of Silver Spring's hidden treasures, and this reviewer would like to do all he can to remove the "hidden" part from the "treasure." The owner of the venue, Beth Yohannes, is a wonderful cook, serves generous portions, is a consummate customer service professional, and a generous human being who routinely supports less fortunate members of the community. My go-to meal is her salmon salad topped with avocado dressing, but each time I visit, almost always in the company of someone I am introducing to the venue or a repeat customer, I hear nothing but praise for whatever it is they have ordered - subs and sandwiches on bread, rolls or ciabatta, awaze tibs, portabello on panini, various wraps, burgers and more. There's also a wide assortment of items from the restaurant's all-day breakfast menu. Oh, yes, I nearly forgot. The ice coffee is one of the best in the area. So if you're in or around downtown Silver Spring during the morning or afternoon any day of the week, stop by, say "hello," and grab a bite to eat. You'll be supporting a small independent business owner and, just as important, treating yourself to a marvelous meal.

So, when my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our anniversary with a cozy breakfast, returning here was the natural choice. To our delight, we discovered that the menu had expanded to include vegan lentil sambusas, a delicious addition that truly elevated our dining experience. Grateful for such thoughtful and flavorful options!

I really wanted to like this place, because the name evokes sunshine and warmth. I saw that people recommended their coffee so I went in for one. Unfortunately, it cost almost $4 for a cup of hot battery acid. The other items (food, bottled drinks) may be fine, but when "café" is in your name -I definitely expected better.

Lemon Slice catered breakfast for our office. We had a custom menu. A breakfast casserole (spinach, mushrooms, onions, cheese and eggs) bacon, turkey sausage, home fries with spicy mayonnaise. The food was delicious, delivered on time by the owner. We will definitely order again!
