The service was great and the food was delicious. Ask your server for recs- there are a lot of options! Portions are generous We enjoyed the samosa salad and a noodle/tofu/peanut dish which was perfect in the heat. We got mild heat and everything had a nice kick and flavor to it.
We love dining at Mandalay. The food is always delicious. The service is great, and our child loves eating here. They have a great variety of vegetarian options, including being able to sub tofu for many dishes not on the dedicated menu.
VERY GOOD FOOD. β€οΈI will be thinking about the coconut noodle soup for a while πββοΈπWe drove 3 hours to eat here and it was worth it. My husband is from Myanmar/Burma and he said it reminded him of his childhood. The food was decently priced! The staff is very kind as well! Be mindful of hours posted, we were a little confused with all the construction on the road that it was open but it thankfully was! π
One of my favorite restaurants in the DMV. The separate vegetarian menu, along with the easily made vegetarian options, mean all people have a ton of things to eat from here.
Any of the salads are great, the V5 and V6 specifically are incredible, and they have changing specials that have never disappointed! A must stop for anyone who loves food.
This place is phenomenal. I highly recommend.
Good restaurant in need of a good face-lift. People are nice, service is good, and food is decent, but I just cannot overlook the decor of the restaurant which looks like it was frozen in time from the 80s. The saving grace is a shrine to Buddha, so giving an extra star in terms of atmosphere for that alone. But this could be much better, if only... π₯²

Pretty good! Salads were fresh. Flavors were on point.
Great food from a wonderful family owned business. Purple line construction on the street outside makes it hard to tell, but they are indeed open everyday except Monday. Bonifant Street is open and they have a private parking lot.

Food's incredible. Some of the best food you'll have in the DC area. The whole menu is full of bangers. The vegan dishes are first class. Shout out to the V01 and V13. Be careful with your spice choices: Medium here is Spicy most other places.

The food was good but the server (probably the owner) is rude. He sounds like he just got out of the military bootcamp and
yelling at us. The atmosphere could do much better.

One of the best kept secrets for healthy tasty eating. The service is excellent and worth the walk from the nearby metro or parking lot.

I really enjoyed the onion curry pork belly and rice medium spice. My friends also were impressed with the flavors. We all plan to come again. We spent about $30 per person.

The food was delicious and good value for the quality and portion size. Lunchtime service was quick so it surprises me that this isn't a more popular lunch spot. I enjoyed the baya gyaw and my spicy curry was excellent.
This place was on my "want to go" list for a very long time. They have options for every pallet and it was very tasty. The servers were nice and made me feel at home. The restaurant itself was no frills but, coming from DC, that was a refreshing change of pace.
I recommend Mandalay to anyone and I will be coming back again!
