I was a little leery about ordering here for the first time; I've been eating from the plethora of Ethiopian restaurant options in the area for years, but had never tried this place. The food is super tasty. But if you get it to go, the default is to serve it premade on the injera--so when you get home to eat it, the food has soaked through the injera and falls apart, difficult to eat. There is no way to plate it, and the portions wind up half the size compared to if you eat in. In principle, you can remedy this by asking for the injera on the side, but that has not always happened in practice. Merkato: please fix this, your food is too good to not be able...
We've had kitfo and tebes in this amazing small restaurant in the downtown Silver Spring, MD. The food was delicious and spicy with reasonable price. The place has “to go†service that will save me time for those of us who do not have luxury time to spent for lunch and dinner. I will definitely be back to this place.
