Everything here is amazing!!! My favorite is the pad Thai and bahn mi but everything is good can't go wrong and the food is always out super fast.

Friendly service, water refilled 3 times so staff very attentive..ambiance good, clean spacious restaurant...overall everything was seasoned with a heavy hand with the sugar...pad Thai too sweet with no tamarind flavor, rice noodles had weird powdery texture like it wasn't rinsed after cooking or not enough water in pot when cooking noodles...we had to ask for more lemons to tone down the level of sweetness on other dishes ordered...would not come back

First time visiting. Pho was great and staff were friendly. We got carry out but would go back and sit inside next time. Cute atmosphere!

I used to come here regularly. I came today after a several years hiatus. What happened??? I ordered Mi Bo Kho, which used to be spicy and complex and delicious. Today it was so unbelievably sweet. Like a bowl of sugar soup. There was absolutely Zero spice to balance the sweetness. I couldn’t taste any of the usual aromatics like lemongrass or star anise. It just tasted of onions, garlic , and TON of sugar. The beef, which should have been fall apart tender, was so tough it was actually crunchy! The noodles in the soup were over-cooked as well. Very sad.

Noticed the owner speaking instruction to the kitchen in Spanish, so I guess the cooks are not Vietnamese anymore. Perhaps this has impacted the food quality.

We ordered the beef meatball pho and pork chop with rice. Pho was not bad. It wasn't too strong on the msg but also wasn't too clear. Rice dish wasn't too salty and pretty balanced. Food quality was ok. Price was also ok for the portions that they gave us. Overall, not bad experience 4/5

Delicious food. Wide range of menu items. Very reasonably priced. This is my family's go to Vietnamese restaurant. Staff have always been polite and professional.

Yummy, my parents are picky, traditional Chinese/taiwanese. They love the Maryland Chicken!

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the DMV. I have had the cold cut Bahn mi. Bread was fresh and soft. I like getting their crispy spring rolls and the summer rolls to start off as an app. Drink of choice, is a Thai iced tea, so good. The crispy Maryland Chicken with rice is delicious but my favorite so far is the Crispy Maryland Chicken with egg noodles soup. The chicken has a great crunch, not dry, very flavorful. The soup is a clear broth but very flavorful with plenty of noodles. I love the many food options here besides pho, which I have yet to try. Anytime I’m in the Wheaton area and in the mood for Vietnamese, this is my go to place.

I'm super late to the game but finally got to try Mi Lay Cay. We didn't try the pho but instead tried their rice dishes including the famed Maryland Chicken. I got the R4 (this was ok, meat was a little too sweet for my liking) and the che which was super good! The real stars here though are their banh mi!!! I've gotten one of each meat including the tofu and hands down this is the best banh mi in Wheaton. The bread is super crispy yet soft, and they are a lot more generous with their fillings than other places. My family's favorite are the grilled beef fillings and my vegetarian friends enjoyed their spicy lemon grass tofu. The banh mi are also super affordable if you're on a tight budget. Overall, while I wasn't a major fan of the rice dishes, I think this place is worth the trip if you have a craving for banh mi and don't want to travel down to VA. The restaurant has plenty of parking in the front but there's also parking in the back if it gets full up front.

Mi La Cay serves is one of the most authentic and delicious Vietnamese restaurants. They occupy two units of the building so they have a pretty large dine-in area although parking may get limited at times when they are busy. They could do better on the service because many of the staff are just hanging around instead of checking on the customers. Their noodle soups come out quicker than their rice and grilled dishes but everything comes out within 20 minutes. This was my first time trying Maryland chicken and it was absolutely amazing. It’s seriously some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had because all sides of the chicken were crispy and the color was stunning. The chicken is fried in one large piece and served over tomato rice. I didn’t find much special about the tomato rice although it did pair well with the chicken. They also offer many other more authentic vietnamese dishes like the broken rice platter which is full and flavor and is made up of different cuts and ways of making pork and their rice or vermicelli dishes with delicious and juicy grilled meats. I would highly recommend trying their grilled pork which is full of flavor.

Great restaurant! I’ve had pho, spicy beef soup and duck soup. All wonderful. Food comes out quickly but water refills can be slow, and seldom do does wait staff come check on you - but they are very responsive when you flag them down.Parking: The restaurant parking lot is usually pretty tight, but I have found plenty of street parking when I’ve gone.
