She’s a good cook. She’s not a nice person and she’s very loud.

Today was my second visit to Rhuth African restaurant, and I found two pieces of glass-like plastic (like plexiglass) in my cassava leaf soup. i was excited to have found a place offering African cuisine, but this experience has made me think twice about returning. Another review on here mentioned finding actual glass in their soup, raising my concerns further. I had initially wondered if the plexiglass came from the bowl's lid, but found the lid was undamaged.I immediately called to report the issue. The staff member I spoke with apologized and attributed it to a staff error, but I received no refund, which was disappointing since I had to throw away the food, wasting money. The cuisine drew me in, but the discovery of foreign objects and the inadequate response have dissuaded me from returning. The potential risk to children or anyone ingesting these sharp objects is alarming. This safety hazard needs serious attention to prevent possible injuries.I hope the owner takes responsibility instead of posting a generic, dismissive reply, like the one given to a previous customer who found glass in their food.--------------------Update: Adding this since the owners wants to be dismissive with their empty reply that mean absolutely nothing.Further to my previous messages, which have not been satisfactorily addressed, I feel compelled to raise a grave concern again. There have been multiple instances, including my own, where customers have found foreign objects, such as glass, in their meals. This not only breaches basic consumer trust but also poses a severe health risk that could lead to serious injury. The lack of accountability and substantive response to these incidents is alarming. As a customer, I expected a commitment to safety and quality, accompanied by immediate corrective actions. Instead, the responses have been dismissively inadequate.

I ordered 20 pieces of puff puff and a bowl of suya on 3/24. They instead gave me 6 pieces of puff puff and 14 pieces of buns. The suya itself was mostly fat and hardly any beef. What make it most annoying was that I called to order before I got there, and the lady who answered the phone said that puff puff was available and my order would be ready before I got there. However, I got there and had to wait 20 mins to receive my order. I never checked it until I was on the way and realized I'd been given buns instead of puff puff. They looked quite horrible too. They tasted stale and were very hard.I called immediately and the lady answered once again. I complained and she said that the cook at the restaurant decided to mix my order with buns (knowing fully well that I ordered puff puff and not buns).I felt tricked and deceived, and will never buy from them again.

Very disappointing. Ordered once with ubereats and the egussi was good. Ordered a larger portion at a later day and this time the meat wasn't cooked well at all. I informed the owner and all she wanted me to do was for me to return the food. That wasn't going to be worth it as I don't live close. Service recovery is important when you mess up the food but that wasn't offered. I had to put the food in a pressure cooker just to soften the meat a bit more. Disappointing as I didn't get what I paid for!..

Well I was in the area and had a craving for poundo with either efo or egusi and Rhuths was less than a mile away. Although not many reviews, I said why not!! So glad I did. I drove past it once, sake of the poor signage (big sign says chicken basket but on the door it's clear it's Rhuth's. I will admit I was a bit hesitant upon entering, for it's a straight carry out and did look a little Sketchy. It was rather quiet and was met by a timid yet friendly young lady. The aroma though was wonderful and what kept me there for I can be indecisive. With no real pics or reviews to go by I went with the EFO Riro w/ pounded yam which has shreds of turkey and I believe what may be bits of stock Fish. I asked for chicken to be added which was an additional $2. So total roughly $21. Anyyyhoowww babbeeeee this meal is enough for two meals (for me) and was absolutely delicious. Might be one of the best efo riro dishes I've had around town and I've sampled a good number of African restaurants. Definitely tasted homemade and fresh!! Just the right amount of spice and flavor. The add on drumsticks were FRESH, seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be back soon to try to the egusi!!

I love their food. Great meat pies, their traditional stews are great, even my Nigerian mom loved the food. Authentic Nigerian food. Love the service as well, the owners are so nice! Great menu too!

I was craving egusi soup, so I decided to give this place a try. In general the flavors were okay, but the meat was so tough. I also burned my hand on the fufu because it was so hot. Overall, the food left me disappointed.

My first time coming here after I got lost for 30 mins looking for this place, I came in I told them what about the two men were pleasant and nice. Furthermore, I ordered cassava and ettieke with fish but I only liked ettieke it was good and tasty, the cassava didn't taste good the meat inside wasn't tender nor flavorful so very disappointed bc i'm from West African like them I've been looking for a good western food. I hope they do better next time ):

We arrived just when they opened. We ordered egusi soup, eforiro, pounded yam and suya. The gentleman was kind enough to let us know it would take 30 minutes since they had just opened. Everything was fresh and well seasoned.. Very Nice . We will be back

Food quality was definitely concerning. I think after trying other restaurants in the area I was looking for more.

You will never get all of items that you pay for! I let it slide a couple times because the items were not the main dish. But how many times does an establishment continuously forget things? No one answers their phone. I ordered on dash- only to receive the meat pies which were broken into pieces and never received the egusi soup or amala. This was definitely done intentionally, because how the hell do you forget the the the soup. It’s the main dish. Just lazy, inconsistent, inconsiderate and deportable.
