I had a very disappointing experience here. After my meal, I wrote in and signed for a specific tip amount (20%) but when I checked my bank statement later, the total charge was higher than what I authorized. The server had added an extra tip (20%) after I signed the receipt.

This is completely unacceptable and feels like a breach of trust. I’ve contacted the restaurant and my bank to dispute the charge. I hope management takes this seriously and reviews their staff and billing practices so it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

We waited more than 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. During that time, there were four servers standing behind the bar watching soccer and completely ignoring the guests. I eventually had to go up and place the order myself. After that, we waited nearly an hour before the food finally arrived. The staff showed no sense of urgency or concern for the customers. The lack of customer service was unbelievable, no check-ins, no refills, not even an apology for the long wait. The overall experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to.

I had a wonderful experience at Sheger Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic and satisfying dishes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Today I order a veggie combo it's so the best.

The menu on the DoorDash app needs to be clarified and optimized as some orders can be misleading. I ordered 1 order of veggie combo and 1 order of Ethiopian injera. Both orders are found separately on the menu. When I picked up my order, I asked where the Ethiopian injera was. I was told they used it to make the firfir which is part veggie combo I bought. I told them the DoorDash that shows the injera order separate cause I wanted it separate. I was told I should have made that comment. Why do I need to make that comment when the veggie combo and the injera are separate orders? It does not make sense. I said ok and despite being charged for something I did not ask them to do, I asked if I could just purchase the injera then they told me no it’s only for internal use for the food made. I was disappointed, upset and left.

Customer service is not good Because for different person different service, I don’t know what’s going on

Menu prices are different from the one you get on your check. They will lie and tell you they just changed some prices but it’s been over a year. This is a scam restaurant, please do not waste your money here. There are plenty of places that will not try to steal your money

These people are constantly deceiving people. The price on their menu is completely different than what they charge you so pay attention to their scamming. There is no reason the price on their menu is different than what they charge!

This was once our favorite place, but for the last few months the food quality has completely went down. We kept thinking maybe it’s just this time, but Every dish we order no matter what day of the week tastes like leftovers, (enj enj yemel migeb becha) very disappointing. Never ordering here again.
