“My daughter and I had an incredible dining experience at Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar, all thanks to our amazing waitress, Joanne! From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and an infectious energy that set the tone for the whole meal. Her patience was remarkable, especially when we had a few questions about the menu, and she offered insightful, accurate recommendations that truly made our meal memorable. Not only was she knowledgeable about the dishes, but her sense of humor made the experience so much fun! She was so personable, treating us like old friends rather than just customers. On top of that, her level of customer service was top-notch—attentive without being overbearing, and always checking in at the right moments. We truly appreciated the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism she brought to the table, and it really elevated our time at Hook & Reel. My daughter and I will definitely be returning, and we’ll be hoping to see her again!“

“Absolutely fantastic food, super delicious. Also vegan options, including the jaw-dropping veg special platter (it's vegan). Warm, homey service. Our meal got a little behind several other tables, lovely chef came out with apologies and treated us to a round of arrack ..delish.

“Went for the first time yesterday and Louie made me feel super welcomed from the beginning! They have a great Happy Hour for drinks and food. I ordered a loaded baked potato which was only $5 during Happy Hour and was very filling! Will definitely have to visit again, especially with the specials they offer like Wednesday Prime Rib!“

“Really enjoyed the nachos special tonite, the chip holds all the delicious toppings! Food was excellent which included the salmon BLT and grilled asparagus special! Not that it isn't always great, but the specials and dishes were prepared especially well, keep up the great cooking and variety! IPAs and elderflower prosecco were great compliments! Service was great too, way to go Tony!“

“Monday night burger special! Even more of a treat is the Monday night speghetti and meatball special. The dish is really tasty, pasta cooked perfectly, meatballs (3) were tastes of every italian spice and meat without being overly spicey. I only wish they offered the steamed vegy and shrimp dish the Rockville location offered. Us girls have to watch our waistline! :) Thank you for opening where we needed a happy place to land with great servers to put a cherry on top!“

“The first time here, I went to see this awesome band Remedy. The atmosphere was so fun. I loved that the tables were not bunched, plenty of room. I had a Southwest Salad, one of the best I ever had. ? I will go back again just for that salad. I tried the pizza ? as well, very good. Check this place out..“

“This was easy when staying at the Crown, nice atmosphere with happy hour until 6pm. Service is great and food is good for a small menu but great choices. I had grilled chicken thighs on rice with a side salad and it was very tasty. I’m back again but just with chicken Caesar salad, good beer and drink choices too.“

“The Upper Crust Bakery is the best bakery I have ever been too. When I was patronizing Upper Crust it was located in Silver Spring. We now live in Upper Marlboro, but I continued to come all the way from Upper Marlboro to Silver Spring just to come to Upper Crust. “My husband and I decided to stay here overnight during our drive home from a beach vacation. I am covered in mosquito bites and am just miserable. I couldn’t wait to take a shower. Well let me tell you, I have NEVER taken a shower as good as the shower I just took in this hotel. It scratched every mosquito bite on my body simultaneously and felt so amazing. The provided toiletries smell like I just stepped out of a spa. The towel was fluffy but not linty. The water pressure was immaculate. The temperature was consistent and easy to set to the perfect amount of hotness. And my skin doesn’t feel like it’s been stripped of all of its moisture like it does after a shower at most hotels. I will only stay at this chain from now on if they’re all like this. I need to know how to get this at home. I’m serious. Best shower of my life.“

“The chicken mole California burrito was really really good - specifically the tortilla and the mole and beans. Everything tasted homemade and delicious. The carnitas super burrito was also really well made and the guacamole was good.
The cold brew was the best cold brew I’ve tried (I’ve had about 10) - it was really chocolatey and delicious.
The reasons for 4 stars is that I didn’t like how the portions were a bit small for the price. The chips and guac was $12 and seemed to involve about 1 or 2 avocados.
The burritos were filling - appreciated and needed the salsa verde that came with them! But still a bit pricy.
These views might also be influenced by the fact I felt pressured by the card machine at the register to tip more than 20% before the food came. The first screen that pops up when paying has only 3 suggested tips: 25, 22, and 20% - the highest I’ve seen on one of these apps. In total it came to $63 for 2 burritos, 1 chips and guac, and 2 cold brew coffees including tip which feels very expensive. We also were accosted by wasps on the patio that tried to get into our food, so that’s a reason for the 4 star atmosphere.
Nevertheless I would recommend this place - if you’re not worried about the price and savvy enough to tip appropriately/not accidentally.

“Location location, as they say. This is the spot. I enjoy a good deal of vegan eats later in the evening. This place boasts an uplifting atmosphere and pleasant scenery.
Vegetarian options: I usually get fries but am sure about other vegetarian options.
Dietary restrictions: As a vegan consumer of Champion kitchen and their care for people,it's sure they cater to nutritional preferences.

“Went for happy hour. Appetizers were really good. Truffle fries were on point! Hot, fresh, delicious! I had shrimp taco which was good. It was $7 for 2 taco.
Nice beer selection. I love IPA, they had several to choose from.
The only caveat I had was at 7pm they started trivia. Trivia wasn't the issue, the issue was the person on the mic was extremely loud. We weren't playing trivia, we were more interested in talking to each other. The loudness was too much. We left and went down the street.“

“I recently visited Spencerville Deli and had a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered several dishes, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Sopa de Gallina y tacos de barbacoa was especially delicious — highly recommended!
Prices were reasonable for the quality, and the service was quick. It’s a great spot whether you’re going on a date, having a family dinner, or just grabbing a bite with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back.“
