I was so pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood gem! The food is incredible. The summer rolls come with a delicious, smoky peanut sauce. The vermicelli bowl with the grilled pork was also amazing. The device was terrific and the pricing is great as well. Don’t miss this one!!!

Pretty standard Vietnamese fare. Food was executed well. The restaurant was clean and had cheerful decor. Service was lacking but otherwise everything was ok. My only real complaint is everything is overpriced.

I took a date here to try their vegan options, and we had a very underwhelming experience. The waiter was inattentive; we had to repeatedly ask for napkins and utensils after the appetizers were delivered. We ordered two entrees, but only received one. The entree we did receive was cold and lacking flavor. When the waiter checked in, they asked if we wanted to order anything else. We declined then paid our bill. When we checked out the waiter blamed the kitchen for the second entree not arriving. The vegan options left a lot to be desired and the service we received was subpar.

The menu is a little limited, but you can't go wrong whatever you choose.
Our party enjoyed most of the menu at our last visit amongst the group, and everyone was thrilled.

My first trip to a Vietnamese restaurant, accompanied by family and a friend who lives in the DC area and knows Vietnamese restaurants well. Four of us ordered things to share, and every one of us thought the flavors were fresh, delicious, unique, and that the food was plentiful. We had wanted to sit outside, but following a rain storm, we ate inside, and though we had concerns about the noise level it was not an issue. Service was excellent. We each got different drinks (beer and mixed drinks) and they were all great. My friend from DC will be going out of her way to return to this special spot.
Easily the best Banh Mi I’ve ever had. Service was kind and attentive. A good value for the price. I would drive far out of my way to come here (and I did) - it’s that special.

Love, love, love the food — so fresh and flavorful! Vegan bahn mi sandwiches, vermicelli bowls, fried rice with a side of chili crunch—-YUMMY!!! Many vegan options to choose. Sunday brunch, delightful!!! Highly recommended after a visit to the Takoma farmers market.
Ordered delivery, the food was just ok. We got the chicken pho, fresh spring rolls, and the fried chicken. Food was no longer hot when it arrived even though we live fairly close and the pho was pretty standard. I assume it would be a much better experience in the restaurant. On the bright side I was very happy with all of the gluten free options!

Our third time eating at Muoi Tieu and always satisfying. The food is authentic, always fresh and flavorful. The staff is attentive - this time we had friends with food allergies and the server and manager both were not only careful to check the ingredients list, but also made substitutions to the dish to make them safe. Sadly, one of our favorite dishes is leaving the menu (the pancake), but we'll be back to see what takes its place, and know it will be great!
