Red Hound is a charming restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Their pies, including the unique Shishito pepper pie, are a highlight, with a hearty crust flavor. The whole grain pizza is a standout, with creative toppings like corn, shishito, and pancetta, inspired by the chef's Venezuelan heritage. The pizza is delicious and probably the best in the DMV. The inside is tiny, warm and friendly, and the owners and staff are welcoming and kind. It's a great place for kids with a fenced in back outside area. They're very vegetarian friendly with great salads and a vegetarian or vegan slice always available. The menu also features delicious desserts, such as soft serve with a different gourmet topping each week.
