Really loved this cute neighborhood restaurant and they have lots of vegan options.

Pretty decor with lush greenery. Unfortunately the food’s just average. As a gourmand who has higher standards than most probably, the jeju buns were just greasy cooked flour with a little bit of filling inside. My lunch companion had a bibimbap rice bowl he said was too salty.

I rated this restaurant 5 stars when it opened but the flavors have become more flat and less and less Korean every year. Bibimbap is basically just a dry chicken rice bowl with some unseasoned shredded carrots and radishes at this point. There’s nothing that cuts through the fat and starch and that wonderful balance of salt, fat, acid and heat of Korean cooking has been lost. The ambiance is still lovely and the staff are still friendly but the menu could use a refresh.

Get the fried "chicken" bites. They're seriously good. All the flavors are fantastic. Even if you aren't usually a vegan, none of the dishes have you missing meat. My one nit-pick is that the burger fell apart very easily. Still, it tasted great.

Vegetarian options: Only a few dishes have meat, and only optionally. Some of the desserts are not strictly vegan (the cupcake has egg).

I recently ordered takeout from Seoul and had a mixed experience. When I arrived to pick up my food, it wasn't ready yet, but the staff kindly allowed me to charge my phone behind the counter while I waited. I appreciated that.

While waiting, I decided to order a small appetizer to enjoy on-site, and the staff was accommodating, which was great. However, about 15 minutes into my meal, a family of four walked in, and I was unexpectedly asked to vacate my table mid-bite to make room for them.

This felt quite humiliating, especially since I was already seated and enjoying my food. While I understand the need to accommodate customers, the way it was handled was disappointing and left a bad impression. The optics of the situation also made it uncomfortable, given the dynamics involved.

The food itself was good, and I’d like to give them another try, but I hope future visits provide a more respectful experience.

The service is exceptional. Kind, attentive people. Loved that. The food could be much, much, better. A makeover of the menu, with more flavor is needed. The dishes look delicious but the taste is a letdown.

Love, love, LOVE Seoul Food D.C.! It's impossible to choose from the extensive menu, as it's all so great. This time around we had the seasonal curry (delish) and the cauliflower tacos (carmelized onions that melt in you mouth make this a winner!). It's a sweet space with a combination of service and self serve. You order at the counter and help yourself to drinks. If you're looking for amazing food- not just vegan- you've got to try it!

So I ordered from then recently , I got Spicy tteokbokki, They're fried chicken, kimchi pancake and they're miso soup I cook asian food myself and I swear on all the gods that they were no asians in that kitchen cooking that tteokbokki, they must have thought I was white because that was so bland it was tasteless it had a flavorless bitter spice to it Miso soup and kimchi pancake where the best thing out of what I got Sadly I could not eat the tteokbokki It was just too far gone and the rice cakes were already overcooked. I try to save it. I couldn't. Oh I did have there pot sticker. They were delicious

Sad I haven’t been here sooner!! This adorable restaurant is a must go to in Takoma Park. No reservations, but you’re welcome to walkin and you may get lucky. From the small plates to the rice bowls, noodle dishes, to the sandwiches and even Tacos, everything I’ve had thus far is delicious. Vegan items are clearly marked and are the majority of the menu. You can also opt from gluten free on some items. Staff is super friendly.

When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a lush array of plants and a clear view of the open kitchen, which adds a welcoming touch to the atmosphere. The staff behind the counter are warm and friendly, offering helpful recommendations if you're unsure of what to order. It's important to note that this is not a full-service restaurant, so orders are placed at the counter, and you need to grab your water yourself. We weren't initially informed of this, which led to a bit of confusion as we waited for our waters while seated. However, the staff were quick to apologize and kindly explained how the service works.

We decided to start with the Jeju buns, tteokguk, and croquettes with curry, and later shared a fried vegan 'chicken' bibimbap. The food was exceptionally fresh, and while I can't speak to its authenticity, the flavors were outstanding. The kimchi jeju buns were a particular highlight for me, and I appreciated how vegan-friendly the menu is. I will certainly be returning and have already started recommending this spot to friends. I’m especially looking forward to trying their pistachio cake on my next visit.

Dietary restrictions: Tons of vegan options

This place rocks and is pure joy. The vibe is a mix of wood and green and show posters (Sonic Youth!) Order at the front, and food gets brought out to your table. The menu is incredibly vegan friendly and is clearly marked. Fingers crossed for fully vegan one day. After several visits, my favorites so far are: * Korean fried "chicken" sandwich - gochujang-glazed tofu, super crispy * streamed grandma's dumplings (shiitake, tofu, and cabbage) * kook-mul tteokbokki - the classic Korean street food rice cakes * scallion pancake - I could eat 10 of these! * also love anything with japchae (sweet potato noodles) To complement the foods, the owner and all staff are amazing!

We have loved Seoul Food since we first stumbled into a gas station in Wheaton and discovered the most delicious bibimbap. Our teenager was a toddler then and she loved eating at this little jewel in our neighborhood. We have done quite a few military moves but whenever we pass through the area we have dinner at Seoul Food. The lovely chef/owner remembers us from 14 years ago and remembers our duty station from the last visit. We walked in last night and she looked at our daughter and said "Baby!!!" - then she asked if we were still in Hawaii. Dinner was amazing, as usual. Great food, great people. Eat here ASAP!!!!

Vegetarian options: So many options in a cool atmosphere. Bring kids. Bring a date. Bring your parents from out of town. Bring people from work. Bring everyone you know.
