“Such a great experience! We chose the tapas experience and lemme tell you, it got us so full! Didn’t have a chance to try the cocktails but the mocktails were great. The presentation of the food and drinks were spectacular. The aesthetic of the restaurant was warm.
Can’t wait to be back!“

“It's wonderful to find a little piece of your culture in Washington DC. After walking around the city on Christmas Eve, coming across this restaurant and tasting a delicious meal that transported me to Madrid was the best Christmas gift I have ever received.“

“Don’t let Atxondo’s modest looks deceive you. I was skeptical but some friends wanted to try this place so I went along. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ate vegetarian and everything was excellent. I can recommend the brussel sprouts, tortilla española, crispy potatoes, coliflor, golden beets, fried shishitos, and risotto. I almost forgot to mention the interesting drink menu and the best flan I’ve ever had. Service was great too. Go with a group so you can try everything!“

“If you’re looking for a place that serves up dry ciders, look no further. You have to order everything online and they bring it out to you. I’ll definitely return to buy some more ciders to-go.“

“Delicious food, attentive staff and great atmosphere, enough said!
Vegetarian options: Limited options for you folks. Spanish/Latin cuisine is heavy on the animal proteins.
Parking: Conveniently located across the street from the county public parking garage. There are free hours but don't start until late at night.“

“The place is amazing . The food is good“
“All of the tapas and wine were amazing. The paella was mid. Service was decent. However the restaurant has a big white box that looks awful sitting directly behind our table. A coat of paint and a mirror or some pictures would definitely make this better. It's shouldn't be a second thought.“
“Check out my sister’s spot!! The wine is divine and the food selection is on point! Can’t wait till they start shipping to MD. You won’t be disappointed. ☺️☺️☺️“

“THEY HAVE MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION:
➡️ 7437 Annapolis Road, Landover ⬅️ I come for the BEST pupusas in the area. The place is not the best looking aesthetically but you can order to go and enjoy at home. They are definitely worth it ? Pupusas revueltas AND queso with loroco are my go to. Enjoy!“

“We had an amazing meal. Very busy, which is good/fine. Noise level is very high. We had to yell across the table, which can be expected in DuPont on a Saturday in spring. Bartenders very slow and our table couldn't fit our dishes. Otherwise great meal“

“My parents stumbled upon this place while they were visiting in November and raved about how it was an amazing breakfast. Finally ordered from them and they were right. Highly recommend the eggs and steak option. The steak was perfect and the traditional Salvadoran sides were delicious.“

“I wanted to like Spanish Diner since I'm a huge fan of Jaleo and of Jose Andres, but the food was so lacking in finesse and taste, even for a diner. Patatas bravas was drowning in tomato sauce (I could barely taste the potato or aoli) and the bacalao over eggplant and tomato sauce had little flavor. The ham and cheese was tasty, but nothing to say "Spain" about it...mediocre food accompanied by a hefty price tag will keep me from going back. I'm so sad that Jose Andres missed the mark on this one, unfortunately.“

“The food is quite delicious, especially the pupusas. Our waitress was quite friendly and quite efficient in making sure we didn't miss anything, we were well served. I recommend the beef soup, the soft yuca and the freshly made tortillas. We will return again ??“
