“My wife and I were going to a fundraiser at The Recher, an event venue on York Rd. in Towson. We hadn't had dinner. The organizers told us that we could go nextdoor to The Rec Room, order food to go, and bring it back into The Recher.

This is a review of The Rec Room.

The Rec Room is a sports bar that also serves American and Mexican adjacent cuisine.

My wife had steak quesadilla and sweet potato fries. I had blackened salmon soft tacos and a salad. All were delicious.

The venue is neat and clean. There are plenty of TV screens showing sports. Service was friendly and efficient. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Parking is paid street parking and a public lot around the corner, paid until 6pm, then free after 6.“

“Great little bar close to Camden Yards. Owner/Bartender gave us tour of great sports memorabilia he has displayed. Old Bay Chicken wings were fantastic. Huge selection of canned beer, good prices, & hard working & personable owner that you can tell takes a lot of well deserved pride in his establishment. Look forward to going back next time I'm in town.“

“A wonderful find, just a short, safe walk from the cruise terminal where our ship had just docked on Monday night.Large choice of beers and a good, lively atmosphere with music and sports on the tvs. We didn’t eat but the food looked good.“

“Speakeasy vibe but kid friendly! Superb food!!!! Standouts were the white bean chili, the guacamole, and the deviled eggs. My two kiddos loved the exquisite wooden ping pong table with leather net, the shuffleboard, and pool tables and the atmosphere was relaxed enough for them to sample all the games while we were waiting for our delicious food. The server was excellent, attentive, kind, friendly. We will def be back!“

“Had an amazing time at Brewers! I haven’t been here in years and let me tell you the time I had phenomenal. When I walked in the live music from the band was great!! Everyone was dancing, our server Jessica did above and beyond !! She allowed us to still order crabs 20 mins after they stopped steaming crabs , all of our food was perfect and she was very attentive. THE BEST SERVICE I’ve had in years. I’m happy to return to Brewers after years of neglecting this place. If you go there ask for Jessica I promise you won’t regret it!!!“

“I absolutely love Poplar Inn. The bartenders are all amazing, the food is great, and the crowd is fun. They do a lot to keep the customers happy and it's a great place to watch the games...Orioles, Ravens, Caps, etc. Karaoke on Sunday nights is the best; everyone always has a great time. Oh, and the pickle shots...BOOM! I love it here.“

“My family went to Hightopps tonight for a small memorial for my uncle. The food was delicious, our waitress Bree was great, the general manager, Kirk, was one of my uncles best friends, thank you for your kindness! I never met the owner but I can tell he is an excellent person. Thank you to all of my uncles friends that cared so much for him & for Hightopps wonderful service and kindness as well. I give this place a 10 out of 10. It reminds me a little like Seacrets in OC. Love the atmosphere and outside is so pretty.“

“We went there on a humble for my son's Birthday. The food was delicious. The service was top notch. My aunt didn't like her food and the management went above and beyond to correct the issue. I will definitely eat there again and recommend. The atmosphere is very warm. I highly recommend.“

“The server named Rain was the best server I ever had. Her personality was so fun and joyful.. She made sure that we were happy and that we had an amazing time. Her mock tails were delicious... “Being honest, I had little confidence in the Seahorse Inn, but I can tell you, the food was awesome. The tuna was perfectly cooked. The salad was very fresh and crispy. The green beans seemed cooked from fresh and I thought the red potatoes were exceptionally seasoned. The crab cake was good, and this is coming from a life long Marylander. The reason I rated the inn as a 4 star (almost a 3) is because of the service. I do not fault Katie the bartender. She had 7 tables & the outside bar. Her only help was a 13 year old busboy who she constantly had to go get after bussing the table herself. This place has really excellent food. Ditch the packets of Ken’s dressing & the butter squares and get some more help. You may become that little gem people are always looking for.“

“I have been attending the bar for some time and it is like everything is quiet. There is karaoke with an annex and there is security and very good secretaries. The atmosphere and the music very well. But they have to put order in the men's room. Too many people inside a small and dirty bathroom. Great Latin club. DJ on Saturdays plays great music. Everyone was nice, friendly, and welcoming. I had a great time dancing.“
