Shoutout to Yamil!
I stopped in today for a late lunch and early dinner. The new setup threw me off at first since I'm used to ordering at the counter and then finding my own seat. It wasn't a big deal, I just wasn't expecting the change!
Before long, I spotted a familiar face. Yamil has been here since the grand opening, or at least it feels that way! His customer service is always efficient, friendly, genuine, and welcoming.

Based on the reviews, Marketplace Cafe at Nordstrom offers a comfortable atmosphere with efficient service and delicious food. The menu includes well-seasoned and prepared options like the skirt steak and the wild salmon Niçoise, which is packed with flavor and very filling. The recipe for the skirt steak seems to have returned to what it was before COVID, and meals arrive hot and absolutely delicious. While the interior would benefit from an upgrade or refresh, as it has a 90s/early 2000s feel, the space is still functional. The service is excellent, efficient, friendly, genuine, and welcoming, with staff providing extremely helpful menu suggestions. This location is preferred over the Columbia, MD location, and it is a regular spot for lunch.
