I don't fry okra I didnt order green just the waste of my money I get all the way home in I live in Southeast just a waste of gas and money

Why, why, why, ?? Today was my first time at this establishment prior to going I viewed multiple TikTok’s about Rolling Rib plus I’ve heard about them by word of mouth I don’t understand what they hype is all about I won’t be returning again 8/9/2025 was my very first time and last time patronizing The Rolling Rib, The ribs were kinda salty the sauce was very vinegary the greens were a bunch of stems, the macaroni and cheese was just nasty the best thing that I got was the tea all of those videos that I saw where it was a whole lot of people as if they were at a family reunion and people saying that they waited a long time for their food (up to an hour or more) I don’t get it THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD, ROLLING RIB 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾.

The food is great but check your bag b4 you leave cause I paid for jumbo size sides and got regular size. It's on me for not checking but it's also on them for not giving me what I paid for.

The food and the staff are amazing! I can’t remember the lady who first helped me on my first visit, but she was so sweet! She asked if I’d ever been and I told her no, then she asked if I liked ribs and my reply was that’s why I’m here! She walked off and when she came back she handed me a rib and said try it and I’ve been going since last April/May. I have yet to get something that wasn’t good! I’m from NC and this is the best soul food in the DMV!

I wanted to give this establishment a 5 star and return to support people that look like me but, can’t. I spent over $100.00 after getting home to find out everyone Mac and cheese was old and dried out probably from the week prior because they only open on Fri, Sat and Sunday and the same for the ribs, fried chicken. The yams, potato salad, baked beans, cabbage and banana pudding was good. I will not be returning or recommending but for anyone that decides to go check your food before leaving.

I frequently go to this Restaurant and sometimes I get a little frustrated with the service. The food is good but I don’t get sides like potato salad or Cole slaw because they put it in the same container as my barbq. They have a problem with my request to put it in a separate container with a lid. I would pay extra if necessary. I also ordered a slab of ribs and they only wanted give me 1 small container of bbq sauce. So as far as the service is, not particularly happy. The wait could be up to an hour. Honestly, I may not be returning.

For is great the wait time is crazy. It's like playing bingo for your number to be called. If they get better with that, they will take over the whole dmv food is everything.

Sorry Ito have to write this review. I used to go here a lot even when it was a food truck back in the day. But I went on Saturday when it opened. I got the family rib platter: My ribs meat did not fall off the bone. It was chewy and tough. The only good part of the rib was near the fat. I paid $45 and was not satisfied. The Mac and cheese did not taste homemade. The cabbage was blend. No flavor with only red pepper flakes. I’m a foodie and was very disappointed. Wont be going back. Sorry.

Food is delicious, service is fine attitude wise but very slow, so be aware of that! No matter what you order, you will be waiting 30 minutes.

On an out of town visit to DC, the hotel front desk manager told us about this place. It was worth the drive. 10/10
The food was devoured in the car.
Pork ribs, fried okra, cabbage, Mac and cheese, and a corn muffin.. with strawberry lemonade.

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me since I was in town (District Heights, MD) and it was down the street from the hotel I booked. when I tell you this place was so so crowded. that's how you know the good is good. the taking lot was full plus everyone else were packed on the both sides of the street! There's one door for ordering the other for pick up. the portion sizes were plentiful, hot, and fresh. Although it took an hour to get our food, it was so worth it. y'all got try them if you're ever in the neighborhood frfr.
