Based on recent reviews, Simply 2 Delightful Carryout is a hidden gem with amazing customer service and good food. The young ladies at the cash register are described as nice, patient, professional, and welcoming. The chef is also incredible. The establishment is very clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming.

The food receives high praise. The wings are crispy on the outside and juicy inside, though the container should have holes to keep them crispy on the way home. The crab fries are a large portion, way too much for one person. The shrimp po'boy "slapped in the face with flavor," and the steak and cheese is not just "carrot quality." The salmon with rice and gravy and collard greens are delicious, though the gravy makes the rice too mushy. The crab and spinach dip is a 10 out of 10. The collard greens have a nice kick and are seasoned perfectly. The rum honey bun cake slice is not to be forgotten.

Some items need work. The mac and cheese is a little soggy, the greens are kinda bland, and the yams could use a little work. The fish was soft. The restaurant should be more visible to drivers, as its location is hidden. The kitchen was closed at 7pm on one occasion, and phone orders were not accepted another time. Overall, it is a spot for awesome carry out.
