Village Tavern is a popular restaurant, known for its friendly service and casual atmosphere. The menu is not extensive, but the dishes are generally well-regarded, including standout items like the Reuben, crab burger, haddock sandwich, dune fries, crab dip, salmon BLT with dill mayo, and pulled pork with BBQ sauce. The Cole Slaw is really very good and made fresh in-house. Sandwiches are a very good size for the price, and the potatoes are real and seared. While vegan and vegetarian options are limited, the food is delicious and satisfying. The service is some of the best you will find anywhere, and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. It can get crowded during weekends and lunch hours. If visiting with a large party, it's advisable to inquire about gratuity policies. The radio volume has been noted to be a bit loud.
