Went there and the table clowns covered with crumbs. The experience was mediocre at best. Could have had a great steak dinner for much less.

Very pleasant atmosphere and the tea and food are always awesome.

I visited here a couple of weeks ago with my mom. We made sure to make reservations in advance. It was such a lovely experience! The place is full of charm, amazing staff, and incredible offerings. I hope to return soon!

A sweet little place. Love the charming historic house. Lots of tea options. Note that when you're with a large party (there were 8 of us), you don't each get your own pot.

The portions are VERY small. I had reserved a gluten free option (+$2), and I still received a scone and tea sandwiches. The gluten free part was a ramekin of hummus with GF crackers and a GF cookie. Overall meh.

The afternoon Royal Tea that we had was absolutely wonderful! The server we had was named Victoria. She was very good and she made sure that we had an enjoyable time here. The food and tea were delicious! Definitely will be making another visit in the near future.

Most delicious scones and tea in the entire world. Delicious salads and soups, too. I love how informative the menu is. It helps a lot, especially for newbies. They have the cutest, nicest staff. Best tea sets! Cute location! Oh, my gosh! It’s unjust to give this anything but 5 stars.

One nice lady said my boyfriend and I were cute and she gave us extra scones and clotted cream to go 😭💕🥰 We have been back multiple times. We love and adore this place! It will make your tummy warm and overstuffed, your heart cozy, and your mind filled with delicious new memories! When you think you’re full, they serve a soup and salad, then tiers of sandwiches and desserts, and then give you ice cream with the check! The recipes are so comforting and creative. It’s a beautiful setting. The combination of heart and history makes everything here so lovable. It can’t be replicated!

This place inspired me to make my own scones and create my own cucumber sandwich recipe! The history of the building and the business made me cry. It’s very special. I am posting pictures of the menu and the story behind the tea shop! Pictures don’t do it all justice!!!

(P.S., For fellow y2k-born girlies: live your best Style Savvy life and enjoy tea and goodies here with others!)

We got rushed out at the two hour mark even though the service was super slow ...

Had a good experience here several years ago so came back with my husband. I knew to expect the service to be a little slow, so I wasn't bothered at all when we got our first course of the Royal Tea 45 mins after our reservation start time. Had a good experience, tea was nice, food was good, server was polite.
Then about 10 mins before the 2 hour mark we asked to sample another tea and the server said she would "put it in a to-go cup". Then when I asked if there was a dessert to the Royal Tea, she said, "Yes, there's a vanilla ice cream, but it's optional." I told her we would like the ice cream, and that it was not optional because it was part of the service we ordered and had paid for. She seemed pretty short with us after that, and dropped off tea and ice cream and the check.
I was pretty frustrated to get the bum's rush when we checked in on time (1:00) and werent served our appetizer or tea until 45 minutes after, then rushed out at 3:00. I know there is a two hour time limit to their reservations (completely understandable) but I shouldn't have been rushed out when we arrived on time at 1:00 and our app wasn't served until 1:45. I want to give it 5 stars but was just so disappointed to be treated like that.

While I will be up front and say I have not actually been here, I am giving it one star because I have been trying to make a reservation for over 2 weeks now with no luck. I've called numerous times, there is no option to speak to a person when calling, only voicemails. I've left several voicemails, which they say "Will be returned with excellent customer service."

How is going weeks without returning multiple calls excellent customer service?

I have tried to make a reservation online, but it will not let me as it gives me open days/times but then does not let me select anything. I have even tried on numerous devices.

The fact that this was planned out well over 6 weeks in advance for a birthday party and now most likely cannot happen is beyond disappointing, especially since this place was a recommendation as another option to the originally planned DC Tea House.

We held my daughter-in-law's baby shower here and it was the perfect venue for this event! The scones were the best I've ever had and the tea and tower of food were delicious. What made it even more wonderful was the staff who worked the event. They were kind, helpful, efficient, and went out of their way to make sure every guest was accommodated. They allowed us to add the personal touches for a baby shower, ie: gift table, mimosa station, and welcome poster which made it so festive. Our guests loved Kate Pearl Tea Room!

I brought my sister in law for a birthday trip out. We had been to your tea house before and loved it. Unfortunately this time we were very disappointed in the quantity of the food. I wish I would have taken a photo of our food tray. The soup came out in the smallest little pot and not even filled. Then the sandwich was an 1/8 of a tortilla wrap with the smallest puffed pastry I’ve ever seen. Then we received a combination of ground beef with mashed potatoes on the bottom in again the smallest container I’ve ever seen. The desserts were again the smallest I’ve ever seen. I don’t even know how you make them so small.
If I hadn’t been here before or saw your photos online I would not have known that this is not normal.
For the price of a high tea, I was very disappointed. Since this was a Harry Potter theme I did ask if these are the normal sizes and was told that it was. Unfortunately I don’t know if we will be back any time soon if this would be the norm

With my birthday right around the corner I decided to give myself a little treat and enjoy afternoon tea at Kate Pearl's Tea room in Westminster.
Upon arriving I was immediately met by Renee the owner and also my server for the afternoon. Renee seated me in the most charming room at a small table for two facing the window. She thought of everything to make my visit delightful. After providing me with a very extensive book of teas I opted for the "Champagne of Tea's" as described in the book, the Darjeeling.
Soon there after Renee brought my tea pot which had a cute cozy to keep it warm, I had opted for only honey for my tea but Renee had given me multiple choices, nothing was overlooked.
From there, was the delicious "autumn" soup, full of fresh vegetables in a rich and savory broth, along with the best scone I ever had, luscious, soft, warm and a bit crumbly as all scones are, the clotted cream and strawberry jam, there are no words to describe it with the exception of mouthwatering!
At this point I felt like royalty as Renee was the perfect server, she would pop up just when I needed her. From there, she served me an array of savory sandwiches and sweet treats on the prettiest crystal tea tray, cucumber and egg salad sandwiches, warm ham and provolone panni, macarons, biscotti and a cream puff! It was perfect and absolutely scrumptious. Lastly and unexpectedly, Renee brought me the most heavenly dark and white chocolate ice cream!
It goes beyond words to say what a delightful experience I had for my birthday, from the tea, the food and the charming service of Renee, ( just before leaving I had the pleasure of meeting her husband, Mike and just like Renee he was quite delightful). Thanks Renee, the afternoon was magical and everything I had hoped for.

An absolutely lovely time! My husband and I came here for our 2-year wedding anniversary and were just blown away by the cute atmosphere, delicious food, and lovely service. The last time we went to a tea room (not here, of course), we were disappointed and left hungry. Today, we were thrilled and left full, with food to spare! This has easily become a classic and a favorite and we will be coming back next year to celebrate!

We got the Royal Tea service and it was definitely worth the price. The time in between courses helped you not get too full and ready to eat the next part when it arrived! It's definitely a treat and worth the time and price. 10/10 would recommend to everyone who loves tea and a cozy good time
