I ended up at the Weathon location just by chance while waiting for an appointment in the area. The place is a counter with few tables located in the Civic Center/Library Hall. Coffee is really good, pastry was fresh and the lady at the counter was polite and kind. Highly recommended
While hanging out with Abeba (co-owner), we discussed how it was in Ethiopia that goats first demonstrated the burstlike impact on activity of caffeine. And yet identifying the shrub was only the first step - innovation required the roasting, grinding, and then boiling of the coffee beans to get us to today!
It is at Kefa Cafe that I enjoy these quiet times, pleasant words, bright cheers, full friends, and the history this Silver Spring institution embodies. From the book...read full review
It's great to have a coffee shop in the Wheaton Rec Center / Library selling fresh coffee, tea, cakes, sandwiches etc.
This eatery serves delicious, freshly brewed, authentic Ethiopian coffee at an affordable price. Their pastries and sandwiches are 'on-point' and the service is always friendly.
We can work/ study/ play at the library & rec for longer periods knowing that such a delicious & affordable lunch option is already in the building.
