“Stopped here traveling off of 81 en route from SE PA to Harrisonburg, VA.I have an affinity for neighborhood & corner bars, which are sadly a dying breed in many towns. This place was definitely a local’s hangout - there was a palpable feeling of community amongst the patrons & staff. That being said, as a transient “one and done” visitor, I felt right at home.Thank you, Third Base, for being awesome and allowing me to be part of your family, even if only for a half an hour. “We had a delicious meal and great drinks! We had fresh oysters (Blue Point & Sweet Jesus)- very fresh and great flavor! The Lobster Roll and Crabcake Sandwich were excellent. For sides we had brussel sprouts and potato salad. Our cocktail choices were the Bees Knees and an Old Fashioned made with Mezcal. The atmosphere is fun! You can tell the owner/operator is very passionate about his restaurant and they are doing a great job. We can’t wait to return!“
“Our first time coming here as we and my wife were in the area. Despite being busy the service was fast and friendly. We started with the fried pickles which were just amazing. My wife ordered the cheesesteak sub and I ordered the Chesapeake burger which is a burger with a crabcake on a kaiser roll. Prices were decent and the place had a very nice atmosphere. “Love this place. Hubby and I go one night a month for dinner, karaoke, and dancing. The staff is super nice. The food is good and food and deink prices are very reasonable. We've met a lot of nice folks that go regularly. It's always fun....and drama free.“

“Lunch was excellent. Usually you'd expect fair or less quality food from a pub but perfectly done, hot on arrival, and quality meat (hamburger) and a fish sandwich. Would go again just for the food. Service was just as good and the atmosphere / music was very comfortable. A real surprise of a place.“
“Good atmosphere, large billiards room with very nice tables. The new menu is great with a southern home cooked meal style and the food is flavorful. I had chicken, collard greens and Mac and cheese. Reminds me of eating my grandmother’s cooking. Definitely get your money worth. Good spot to go if you don’t like over crowded spaces but also like to be social and hang out. Staff are very nice, friendly and welcoming as well.“
