“Ironbound is more than restaurant. It’s a Maine experience. Staff are as friendly and genuine as you would expect Maine folk to be. The food was beyond excellent from the crab curry soup to the chocolate torte. The ambience is sophisticated yet comfortable. There are so many interesting artifacts placed strategically to keep the conversation going between courses. Our first experience at Ironbound but not our last.”

“I was hesitant about taking my young family here, but the loft did not disappoint! It's a new family favorite in Bar Harbor, and I have converted to loving seafood and the raw menu because of the loft! The ahi tuna nachos were a hit all around and a big recommendation to try! We can't wait to go back! The staff and food was amazing, and they even catered to my two children (1yr and 4yrs old).”

“You must eat here! The atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The drinks (and mocktails) are wonderful. The food... the food is fantastic! You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. If you order the fries, which you most certainly should, get the garlic aioli... you'll thank me later, it's also good with the lamb. ;)”

“This place is a MUST! Over the week we have been in Bar Harbor we have ate at A LOT of places, Tap & Barrel is hands the best meal I’ve had here by a long shot. Marina was super knowledgeable and gave 15/10 service! You will not regret stopping here and grabbing a bite to eat or even just some drinks!”

“We tried Royal Indian for the first time one month ago. We had the butter chicken, butter lobster, naan, and lamb korma. It was our first time eating Indian food from a restaurant and we were very pleased with our meals! The entrees were very filling and some of the best food we’ve eaten in bar harbor. The staff were all super friendly and quick. We’re now using this as our go to takeout order spot!”

“We had the best time and best food here! My sister and I and our families and my two pups all ate dinner here on August 16th, 2024. Our service was excellent and the food was SO good. My pups were greeted and given a bowl of water and enjoyed the smoked turkey off dog menu too! Solid selection of local beers and nice variety of cocktails to choose from too. I would highly recommend checking this place out. There’s also an ice cream shop right next door, if you happen to not be too stuffed after your meal!”

“Bagels and english muffin sandwiches were very tasty. Iced Latte and Matcha latte (hot) were good. The matcha was a very dark green matcha and it was not too sweet.

The line was insane so consider to order ahead.”
