Head to the shack in back not the big building on premises to get this famous Maine donut. Potato donuts are denser and fantastic. There are no bad flavors, however the chocolate sea salt, the lemon, and cinnamon sugar are my go to donuts. The only drawback of this location is a lack of seating, and there is no covered seating. So being able to sit down and have a donut here is weather dependent (unlike the one in Portland). Regardless, these donuts are delicious and a must try.
Stopped here en route to Portland, and WOWZA! What awesome doughnuts indeed! Holy smokes! Wicked light batter that was crispy and delightful, could it be that potato they're adding! The donut itself was delightfully well balanced and the glazes (honey lavender and fresh lemon) added just the right amount of sweet. Came here today and tried the regular and chocolate cinnamon sugar donut, toasted coconut donut, and chocolate sea salt. Can say that these potato donuts are much better and lighter than regular donuts you’d get from Dunkin or the store. The coffee and tea are also amazing and fresh tasting. They have a few picnic tables outside for people to eat at. Highly recommend, I’d come everyday if I lived in Maine.
