State Lunch Reviews
My husband and I moved to Augusta 11 years ago. We lived in Camden prior where there were restaurants similar to State Lunch every few blocks. When we moved here, we complained that all there was was chain restaurants with the same Ole thing. State Lunch is a breath of fresh air. Best food we have had since moving to Augusta. The menu is unique and the food is delicious. Will definitely be visiting again.
While I recommend this place, proceed with caution. We went out for a birthday lunch. It was a pretty noisy, which was to be expected. We ordered a pork belly bao bun, hamburger with fries, roast beef with fries. The bao bun was perfect! The other two dishes came out lukewarm and the fried tasted like they had sat out for 30 minutes before coming to us - not hot and mostly all very crunchy. We ordered dessert to go which was also very lackluster - funfettie cake. Taste like something...read full review
Lunch menu gave just the right options. Started with the chicken wings loaded with flavor and crunch. Then a vegetarian ramen and Thai chicken ramen, flavorful and fulfilling. Definitely need to check out the dinners next. Comfortable atmosphere and exceptional service, more of all please!

State Lunch is a small, quaint restaurant with a fancy and artsy decor. The interior features long green curtains, a purple light in the bathroom, real flowers on tables, and cardboard straws. The menu is on the smaller side, but the portions are fair and the food is generally well-regarded. One customer's cheeseburger was not cooked to the requested temperature, while another customer's red curry chicken bowl with extra spice was described as "absolutely delicious" with homemade noodles and plenty of vegetables. The Brussels sprouts were also noted as being good. The restaurant's prices are higher than some other places, but the quality of the food is generally seen as making up for it. The staff are described as friendly and professional. The place has a modern, clean interior and a nice bar, making it a good spot for adults to enjoy a drink. The wings are incredibly delicious, and the fried rice special and spicy Ramen are highly recommended, with the spicy Ramen being perfect for those who like heat. Desserts are also praised as being really good. It's located in a spot that can be hard to find, but using GPS helps. Overall, the restaurant has received positive reviews and is worth a visit for those looking for a nice meal and a good atmosphere.
