We stopped at Red Barn as a rest stop during our drive from Bar Harbor to Boston, and we’re so glad we did! Ordering online was super easy, and our food was ready right when we arrived. The atmosphere was wonderful—casual, welcoming, and full of charm—with plenty of seating options both inside and out. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed our meal outside under an umbrella.

The Red Barn is hands-down the most family-friendly spot around! I have two little ones (ages 2 and 4), and it’s the first place I’ve truly felt welcomed as a parent. The staff are so kind, the food is delicious and comes out fast (a lifesaver with toddlers!), and the prices are super reasonable; perfect for a mama on a budget.
