Stumbled upon this place and so glad we did! Quiet little brewery that serves amazing inhouse made food. The beer is cold and wonderful! They have beer, water, Maine Root soda and even an option for those who want beer but can't have it! One of my go to spots in Bangor. Often times when other places are crowded, Black Bear has plenty of open seats. I'm not sure why, because the food and drinks are excellent. I think they might be just outside that downtown area that they don't get all the crowds. The pulled pork nachos are great, and all of the food is affordably priced. My favorite brewery in Bangor. Hands down. Always a nice selection to choose from. This time they had least 10 fresh beers to choose from. The Pail Ale is outstanding and a go to for me. Nice rustic feel to the interior. Outside, sidewalk seating available in the summer months. A small but decent menu-I recommend the Cuban-just add to the appeal. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the beer to go situation. Growler only. No cans.
