Coffee pot is sooo good. The drive from Boston is worth it. Located next to a bank in Southern Bangor. The sandwiches are delicious. Plenty of parking outside and accessible. They have a drive thru window for pre orders. There is a bathroom inside. The employees seem real nice and are well known. The sandwiches are huge. They can custom make sandwiches or they have a few premade ones ready to go. Their thing is putting the meats on top of the sandwich and the vegetables and stuff...
It's an unassuming little place sharing a plaza with a bank, but the locals come here in droves for what is almost certainly the best cold sandwiches in the city of Bangor. I had a Deluxe Coffee Pot with a Moxie, and my brother had the Italian sandwich. Everything was fresh, tasty and filling-- a good balance of flavors and ample portions! The place was buzzing on a Friday morning, but we got our food quickly and it was well worth the drive.
The Coffee Pot is a Bangor classic. They have the softest, freshest rolls, excellent meats, and their sandwiches are a work of art. We always love whatever we order.
