Fast service. Nice owners who tend the bar. Plenty of parking in the back of the pub. Good Prices. The oldest tavern in Bangor and maybe in the State of Maine. Three generations (same family) have run the Business.Parking: Huge parking lot in back of the pub.
My twin brother and I decided to celebrate our 30th birthday here a couple days ago. We were pretty last minute and not super organized with a plan. We essentially showed up with a bunch of people- but weren’t expecting anything other than a some music and a place to all hangout. The Main Tavern is an iconic pub in downtown Bangor. I particularly like the chicken wings with a glass of white wine. The service is fast and the ambiance is terrific.
