Slice of Eden made our wedding cupcakes last year and they were fantastic! We had half of them made as chocolate with Swiss buttercream icing and half blueberry lemon cupcakes with whipped cream icing. They were a huge hit and gone so fast! We decided to have them make us a small blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing for our anniversary this year since we did not have one to save from our wedding. They knocked it out of the park! I can’t say enough good things about this place!
Ahhh.... a Slice of Eden.... I wanted to say that the pies were made with so much love that the staff had nothing left to share which is why they were so utterly devoid of human emotions. However the bland blueberry pie was as disappointing as the spiritless workers. There are many other places in Bar Harbor. Keep walking East, West, North or South of Slice of Eden.
Long lines just for coffee. Does not have fresh breads, foods
Cute shop, opens early (parking g is free here before 8am), made for a great coffee run and a few bagel sandwiches before our hiking for the day!
Breakfast was delicious!
Tasty baked goods in Bar Harbor! We loved the blueberry crumble pie. We also tried two bagels, which were not the best I’ve ever had, but were flavorful and loaded with plenty of cream cheese! They have coffee as well, but they only use Torani syrups which don’t always taste great. The ladies in there were super sweet, although the atmosphere wasn’t great, as I felt like it needed some quiet music in the background or something. Either way, I enjoyed the treats.
I LOVE red velvet cake but my severe egg allergy really limits my ability to ever eat it. My husband ordered an egg free red velvet cake for my birthday. It was fantastic! I can't thank Slice if Eden enough!!
The Steak & Western Egg Burrito is the best thing on the menu by far. Found breakfast sandwiches to have very little meat and egg on them. Chocolate Raspberry Croissant was also delicious!
I only give this place one star because the cashier was incredibly rude for no reason. We were not difficult customers and knew exactly what we were getting by the time we got to the register. We spent about $250 and you would think she would be grateful for our business, especially in the off season. But no, she clearly wasn’t. The food and coffee were absolutely incredible though.
Got my delicious blueberry fix in during our stay at beautiful Bar Harbor. Can’t complain!

Small Café with some vegan options on the menue. We had bagels with vegan cream cheese and hummus. Also they have some sweet snacks like pies or muffins. Coffee is available with oat milk! ☺️ Updated from previous review on 2024-09-25
The bagels were fresh and the cream cheese was fantastic. Highly recommend the blueberry turnover.

Nice little cafe to stop at for a breakfast croissant sandwich and coffee. Had a lovely outdoor patio with tables.

Had higher expectations based on reviews, & bought a number of things to sample. Bagel (toasted everything with plain cream cheese) wasn’t warm & was mediocre. Blueberry muffin was dry which was disappointing. I asked for tap water & the cashier said they do not offer tap water, only sell plastic bottles - I think this is a bad business practice, particularly for a business on town utilities. Biscuit (Sundays only) breakfast sandwich - eggs, cheddar cheese, sausage was hot, fresh and excellent.
I probably won’t bother coming here again there are many better options.
