Blaze was the first place I visited on my recent trip to Bar Harbor, and I was very appreciative of them being open on Easter after a long travel day. I was sat at the bar, and found the service to be fairly good. They were busy and were attentive to the people that were coming in, but also seemed to have issues with seating that lead to me feeling pressured to leave. The food was a highlight, I got the duck burger and it was delicious. It was thick, difficult to eat, but the flavor was amazing and the fries were crispy and flavorful. They also had a great soundtrack playing in the background, which may not mean a lot to everyone but was a bonus in my book. I would definitely recommend!

Visited Blaze during March, glad to find somewhere so good open during this time. It’s a little small inside but we got seated very quickly, seems to only be one waitress but we weren’t in a rush. Food was amazing!! Fish tacos were so flavorful and filled they did not disappoint. Fries are also delicious and they give so many! We will definitely be back.

Blaze is one of I think two restaurants open during off season. We had pretty high hopes for this place. I ordered the wagyu burger with a house salad. The burger was great, a little too thick for me but it was a 1/4 lb of meat. The salad had some type of home made dressing but I wasn't a fan. My boyfriend ordered the duck fat fried haddock. He ended up getting really sick, but I think it was a combination of things. The fish was cooked prefect, however I think having duck fat fries, duck fat fish, and a local beer he wasn't used to resulted in an unhappy ending lol. Back home, we don't use duck fat at all so it was definitely an acquired taste type of thing. All in all, the bar tenders were nice, the service was quick and the food for the most part was good.

We stopped in right at opening at 11:30 for lunch. As soon as we came in the door there was a strong smell of trash and rotten produce, which could be smelled throughout the front room (where we were seated) and entryway. We were given menus that were very dirty and had crusty dried food bits stuck to them. We decided to leave and find a place that felt cleaner.
