My family and I loved our experience here! The guy at the register was very friendly & helpful as we ordered. He gave us free samples of their soup of the day which was good. We all got paninis that were sooo good! I went with the #6 which was a triple cheese panini and my sister and dad both got the #5 which was a ham & cheese panini with apples & balsamic glaze. We also got a bag of chips to share, and everything was amazing! I would definitely return to try their Clam Chowder & the Lobster Salad Panini! The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom situation was a little dingy, but I still think this place earns 5 stars!
The lobster roll is definitely solid, but the non lobster roll sandwiches are killer. Any variety of italian is almost a must, and the chicken sandwich/salad varieties are great. Salads looked real nice when we saw them coming out, but didn't try one ourselves.
Delicious, fast, filling! Very friendly service.
So delicious and great hospitality!!
The service was amazing the gentleman at the desk was personable and respectful. He was funny and tried to make everyone laugh. He would sing along to songs from the radio and was entertaining to have in the room. The food was well priced and was easily accessible from the greens and shuttle stops. The food was well priced and delicious. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great meal with reasonable prices in bar harbor.
This place is amazing. Got chicken tandoori panini and my partner got an Italian. Two of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. Atmosphere was unique and cool, and staff were amazing and kind.
On our trip we stopped here for lunch. Ordered Clam Chowder and Lobster Roll 🦞. Food was fresh. Soup extremely good. Roll delicious. Recommend.
The food was delicious.
The gentleman behind the counter was cheerful and friendly.
The tables needed a little cleaning, and it was very hot inside.
The New England Clam Chowder was absolutely amazing.
Cashier was unfriendly and condescending. From reading the other reviews, I assume she is the owner of the restaurant. Food was good, but she needs to take a chill pill (or a vacation) to stop being such a debbie downer. If you think I’m wrong, go read her responses to the other negative reviews. And if she responds to this, I hope it comes with a bit of self reflection and not the defensive ignorance that she showcases so proudly.
Also, blatant cultural appropriation. It’s chicken TIKKA masala, not “Tiki masala w/ chicken”. Do your due diligence if you’re going to sell another culture’s food, it only takes one google search.
I ordered a butternut squash soup here which I will say was delicious. However, the Panini that we ordered which was prosciutto, and Gorgonzola was the most disgusting sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my entire life to the point where I spit it out into my napkin. The woman taking the order was extremely rude and it took forever to get our meal and several people that ordered after us received theirs first. Needless to say I will NOT be returning here for a lunch gor a meal that cost 33.00 but had 13.00 of it thrown in the trash!

Such a cute antique style cafe. The gentleman working was hilarious and kind. 10/10 best sandwhiches we have ever had in our life. This is the place to go if you are visiting the area. Do not miss out on the unique deliciousness of this place! We will be back!

The subs were great! We ordered Italian #2 and took them to one of the many cliff views of the ocean and truly enjoyed our subs. We loved it so much we wanted to get one for the road before our 20 hour drive home. I called on Sunday to see if they would be open Monday. The British sarcasm is a little different for what I am used to but the man answered “Yes we are open 7 days a week like a public restroom” and hung up. My husband and I kind of chuckled but glad it was going to be open for our sub to eat on the road back home. Our check out time was at 10 and according to the Lunch online it opened at 11. So we killed some time and got coffee which I even saw the Lunch owner at about 10:30. We waited for the shop to open at 11 and even waited past the sign hanging on door that said they would return at 11:15. Other customers came by expecting the shop to be open and were just as disappointed as we were. Now it may be closed for the season but we waited till 11:40 and just gave up cause of our ride home. We most definitely will be back if given the opportunity, but just disappointed about it not being open especially after the sarcastic comment the day before. Hope everything was okay!

Easily in the top 5 roast beef sandwiches and potato salad (Irish wedding cake, iykyk) I've ever had. Maine can be challenging for us since we don't eat pork or shellfish, but this place worked out great. We also had a roast turkey sandwich with white smoked cheddar, tomato basil soup, and it was all fantastic. The gentleman working the counter was very welcoming and courteous, and had a good sense of humor. If there is a line, it's because it is worth the wait.

Got a ham sandwich that was tasty (mustard had real mustard seeds!). The most memorable thing about this restaurant was the service - the two people taking and delivering orders were great entertainment. The young guy was flipping cups and dancing around while the elderly guy was dishing out alternating wisecracks and compliments with tireless enthusiasm - we were still mentioning it later on our trip!

I only got a bowl of clam chowder to go because it was too crowded to eat inside. Luckily it was sunny and there's a park right across the street. The clam chowder was sooooo goooood! It tied for 1st with another spot for the week I was in Bar Harbor. I could eat this chowder every day. The gentleman who rang me up was an absolute hoot. He was an older Irish man who was so funny and friendly to all the customers. I recommend his witty conversation and the chowder.
