We stopped in right around Thanksgiving and had a great meal in their indoor/outdoor space. Started with the clam chowder—delicious and really enjoyed the fish sandwiches and polenta fries. The food was great. It was a little on the expensive side and the portions weren’t huge. We came at an off hour and service was cordial but a little slow (took a very long time to refill our empty waters while eating and there weren’t many other parties there). Would definitely come back again—felt like it’d be much more crowded but perhaps a bit better service in the high season.

For off season travelers wanting fresh seafood (without having to drive ~20 miles), Peekytoe Provisions is open year-round from Wednesday to Sunday, 12 - 8 pm. Those who want to prepare the seafood themselves should just head straight to the second door where they have a small market section carrying a strong selection of local and sustainably sourced fish, shellfish, and live lobsters. Those who rather have the professionals prepare it for you, the first door leads to you to various plates and brew. Then there are those…dine first, quench thy thirst, then grab more fresh seafood on the way out for later.
Their story and the recently completed renovations make this place absolutely charming. Their philosophy and grit is what makes them such a success story in this area. Of course, none of this would mean anything if they didn’t stick to their commitment to QUALITY every single time.
Definitely recommend. Definitely will be back.

The large portions are super small! Why do you call them large portions? The oysters were $3 for the tiniest most destroyed ones, as they did not know how to shuck them right. Will not recommend it.

Fresh lobster with Lemon-Thyme butter, it was so delicious!!
We had a lobster roll, a crabmeat roll and a blueberry pie on the small and very cute shaded patio. All three dishes were extremely fresh and delicious, made of course with local produce. The lady who served us is charming and witty, the service is perfect Left: the lobster roll, on the right, the crabmeat ( sandwiches were cut in half by me, the restaurant was not involved in the improper plating ?
